It's sad when we have people like Afriyie in responsible administrative positions like he is in. Looking at Jon Benjamin's article he explicitly said it was his personal opinion and not that of the British government so why are you bringing in visa fees and all those things that does not make any sense. You should be ashamed to come out to say the Hungarian came to help us. What are we Ghanaians doing for ourselves in terms of pitches? Stop that nonsense of insulting opponents and take on board constructive criticisms so we can advance.

When some people say that some Africans, including many Ghanaians have still not recovered from the horrific experience of slavery - that is mental slavery, some of us underestimate the problem. But looking at the senseless comments by people who I presume to be Ghanaians on this issue, I can now understand that it is very true what even Bob Marley states about mental slavery in his songs.
Here we are being insulted and castigated without proof by a foreigner who considers himself as a diplomat of sorts and all that the Ghanaians who respond can say, is to join that racist to support his untrue and unproven allegations to make us fit into their racist mould of stupid niggers. That there is an underlying strain of antiquated British racist patronage in the mans posture and remarks, is without doubt. So I ask myself, are there any other races in this world who are as morally inept and racially ineffectual and emasculated as the African? Damn it! I knew it was bad but not this bad.
It is only in countries like ours where there are so many fools and idiots who have obstinately refused to live up to the ethical standards of humanity and who as a result cannot think for themselves and who still depend on racists to come and think for us and tell us what we should do for ourselves, that such nonsense can go on unchecked - and even worse-still, encouraged.
Ikum, like his putrefied like-minded commentators, is so sickeningly illiterate that he offers himself as sacrifice to defend his colonial oppressors with whatever little self-esteem that he may have left in his demented head.
Perhaps Ikum, probably an illiterate rural dweller, does not know that the man in question is the British High Commissioner - no less, to Ghana and not some back-pack tourist. He is here in Ghana officially representing his country and I cannot see how this excuse about personal opinions can come into play here. Has the world lost its values to the extent that the lofty designation and responsibilities of diplomats can so freely fall and drift in the sewers?
The British have shown that they have very little respect for us and that is why when this man was thrown out of a self-respecting country for committing a similar offense, they then dumped him on us because we have a govt that is so incompetent that they cannot tell what is good from bad or what time of the day it is.
Perhaps Ikum needs to be told that it is only cowards who attack public and state institutions/personalities and then run for cover under either diplomatic privilege or what the man himself dubiously and spinelessly refers to as, ‘personal opinion’. Shame on you and him.
Perhaps Ikum and the many retards and morons who have adversely and irresponsibly commented on this issue, think that all Ghanaians are so unenlightened and subservient to the dirty wiles of neo-colonial diktat and tyranny that we will all recoil into our cowardly shells when the slave-master cracks the whip of tyranny and genocide. No Bro', it wont pass without a word and I challenge the British High Commissioner and part-time tourist, to come out with hard facts to either prove his allegations or apologize - if he is a gentleman. This he should have done without anyone’s prompting, a long time ago. I wish to make it known to him that his 'subjective admirers' as well as some of us who are considerably pissed-off by his comments await to hear from him without much delay. We urgently need to know who is wrong and who is right so as to take the necessary corrective measures on the issue.
In the meantime, I wish to congratulate George Afriyie, the Vice Chairman(?) of the GFA for standing boldly on behalf of all Ghanaians - including those modern-day slaves who have lost all their self-respect and racial dignity. He has truly brought a whiff of fresh air into the affairs of the GFA and with his strong moral stance, I believe the GFA will go places. We are proud of him.

Why at all do some retirees get so worked-up when one talks about dry bones? Saani Daara, Ousmanu Kwesi Nyantakyi, Kojo Adu Asare, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, George Afriyie are guys whenever Brazil fiasco, our moribund premier league, corruption at GFA, and lack of vision or will to develop our colts football are mentioned, they get so peeved; WHY?
Btw, was Saanie Daara deported from UK?; he sounds too bitter about Sir Jon Benjamin's view of what's wrong with the Ghanian Football Association extravagant lifestyle vis-a-vis our moribund premier league and and bereft of will to develop our pitches as well as the colts system where the future lies.

Do you know what was worse? It was published in the British press that ball boys in Ghana pocketed 100,000,USD same as our players.Ghana was the laughing stock all over the world with comedians going to town with this in their trade. One cannot hold brief for the British and Americans in their investigation in sports , but once they say such damning things , one can be sure they have done their home work. When they started talking about 2018 and 2022 world cup bidding processes , many doubted them. Now we can see how many big names are going through scandals , fraud and resignations . In Ghana, massive corruption are easily covered up.It is not the same elsewhere.

This Afriyie guy is a typical non performing Ghanaian official who is only good at protesting instead of listening to free good advice to improve junior football development in Ghana! What has receiving or not receiving a UK visa got to do with the High Commissioner? That's the prime duty of the Consular Section and not the direct responsibility of Mr Benjamin!! If you feel short changed by their visa rules operating in Ghana by the Brits then protest or seek redress through the Foreign Ministry or the Sports Ministry if it is in relation to our sports men/women!!

The whites are not such stupid to waste their resources on such expensive cars. Why don't you sell your expensive car and buy for yourself less expensive one and then use money remained to support FA.All Ghanaians have the traits of corruption in their DNA.
