Azumah 'Zoom Zoom' Nelson won his titles on 8th December, 1984 in San Joan Puerto Rico, defeating Wilfredo Gomez in the 11th round. He was also to win in another weight category, the Super featherweight.

Isaac Ekpo Boxer Former Commonwealth and African champion, Isaac Ekpo has been signed onto the promotional label of the legendary promoter, Don King Promotions. The deal for the Ghanaian-based Nigerian boxer was put through by his manager and promoter, Anthony Kermah of Landmark Promotions.
