Assume that l do not have money to build a school in my village & a rich man offers to do that in the village. This rich man wants to use materials (eg asbestos infested material) that may cause cancer to the kids in 3 to 4 yrs, do l sit down with my mouth shut for the kids to develop cancerous diseases in a few yrs? What St. Ghfuo is addressing is a fact. Turf surfaces are injury prone. May also cause cancer. Natural grass is the best & even cheaper . If you cannot understand this simple analysis, then there is something fundamentally wrong . Baby Jet in his quest to give back to the community may inadvertently doing more harm than good.

Just an astro turf for 3 months? That makes no sense. With what I'm seeing, it looks like the pitch will not last. I can only see a flat ground with washed gravels. With the kind of rain that has fallen in Accra between march and now, I'm sure the sub base is messed up. The sub base of a soccer field is supposed to look like a crown, not flat, I see no drainage system too. For an astro turf to work, at least it'll need a stable ground, 4 inches thick of washed gravels, 4 inches of stone dust, a layer of fine sand before the astro turf proper and finally the black rubber chips to help make running on the field feel soft and good. All these can be done in 3 weeks. So what are they up to?
