It said if the findings of the commission resulted in the removal of the GFA management or the functioning of the association, then it would ban Ghana.

Siisi, the Presidential Commission to investigate the Black Stars' failure in Brazil is a cover up by President Mahama to let his friend and former Sports Minister, Afriyie Ankrah and other corrupt state officials avoid accountability and punishment for alleged corruption. It has nothing to do with holding GFA accountable. President Mahama abused is prerogative powers to set up commissions to investigate matters of national interests.

This matter should have been handled by the Legislature and not the Executive. It serves the President right. Now, he will either eat humble pie and disband his Commission or go ahead with it and FIFA will ban Ghana from International Football.

The abuse of powers by the President is even disturbing if one considers the fact this commission was announced soon after Parliament had announced a Parliamentary Committee to look into the same matter. FIFA considers the action by the Executive as interference in the affairs of GFA. I am not sure the same would not been the case had Parliament done so because that is independent of the Executive and would have had members from different parties.

Instead of the government learning lessons from the Ghana@50 Commission fiasco, it misused it to avoid accountability of ministers and public officials. How can President Mahama claim to be serious about fighting corruption within his government when the evidence from this is that he is shielding corrupt government officials?

Probably, FIFA would keep dolling out money to them when they send support and it's consumed like 'food to dogs' without achieving it's intended purpose. Ghana is an INDIPENDENT country, and we have every right to find a solution to anything that is going wrong or went wrong at a particular time, irrespective when and where. It seems FIFA was established all over the world to control and exploit for their own benefit. We have to fight them as NKRUMAH fought the BRITISH. They have protected their exploitation means by inserting articles in their constitution, which mandates them to operate as an independent body within every country on the globe withou interferance from within, and is unlawfull. I am not a lawyer, but there is a loophole in their by laws, and I call on Ghanaian lawyers to take them on at the international court of justice, if they dare ban Ghana.
