Ghana is ranked 34th in the world because we are percieved as beatable which we have often demonstrated in many trial and friendly matches. The idiocy of letting the younger inexperienced players start and pile goals against us while the likes of Kevin, Djan, Dede and Mutari sit at the bench has been overplayed.
In any game the advantage of scoring first is sought after because it exudes confidence and puts the opponent at formational risk. Appiah has done that so often and lost big time so often.

One could imagine the swiftness of a match in a line-up of Dede, Kevin, Gyan, Mutari, Essien and Kojo Asamoah. That is a winning combination of experience and bonded minds of teammanship with understading of where and what to do at all times.

Appiah, I have often raised this point but I doubt seriously if the communication works on this board.

Expect another Ghana defeat if he does what he has been doing over and over and expects something new out of it. It is crazy that in our country few people in authority listen and take advise from the public.

Many of the current crop of Black Stars players began playing on fields with no grass; fields that are stony, and under the hot sun. Such conditions toughen the players.
Fast forward to USA team who have developed from playing on manicured grass pitch, with zealous parents at the touch lines who scream at referees when opposing players do slide tackle or body check. Does Klinsmann really believe his team of pampered players can overcome a team of rugged, grass less pitch tested and hard tackling Black Stars? Think again Mr. Klinsmann. Just give it up. Throw in the towel before the game. Ah, would it be striker Altidore? The guy drags football between his legs as if the soccer ball is an extension of his two "manly balls". The goal keeper, Tim Howard, does not focus on the game; he plays with a mentality that he's the best, and he spends time correcting other players on the field. Just so that you know Mr. Klinsmann, the last USA coach lost his job after Ghana gave the USA team time lessons in Mandela's South Africa. It is needless to go on. Now the Black Stars in are in Brazil where the historic slave uprisings of Bahia and other resilient African cultural manifestations would usher in Ghana's predictable victory.

Stamina could be tested to the limits but we can always counter that with speed and fast recurrent, spiral tackels and cover ups. Only complacency might cause us to lose. But the Coach could ensure that does not happen. Our Coaches must keep hammering into our Players that "it isn't over till it's over". Our attacks must be relentless till the final whistle. Our defense must not let up one inch of space to the USA Team.

Long Live Ghana!!!

The USA Soccer Team is primed to break our stream of victories over them. They employed Klinsman to help them adopt a more physical, speed driven and more durable stamina strategy, known to be the German style.

The Team is endowed with Height and they intend using it to the fullest. The Black Stars need to match their Speed, be tactful in mitigating the brute strength the USA Team intends to display with instant spiral backup tackling, and cover ups. The persistence of little but effective tackles by multiple players, backing up one another, often frustrates the USA players, and leads to them to make costly mistakes.

Best of luck to the Black Stars! But that would come along only with hard classic Soccer playing. No complacency! No flippant Offside traps! Clean but tight tackles in the "18" to avoid easy awards of penalties to the USA Team. The Referees would not be very friendly to us.
