Inkoom is been very realistic here and preaching something no one want to hear because it´s not encouraging at all.
Facts are there but he should know better that in football everything is possible.

You are not going anyway, if Appiah has some balls to field Ghana's young enterprising players scattered all over the world, who are playing regular football day in and day out--whether they play in 2nd division European leagues or not, or play in Asia.

But, he does not have the balls, and that is why Ghana will be eliminated in group stage and then all hell will break loose in Ghana.

We just have only less than two months for that Ghana Spring.

David did not look at Goliath and say there is no hope because he is too big or mightier than David, but instead trusted in the source of his strength, and it was well with him. With God, all things are possible. The black stars should train hard, and acknowledge God, and it shall be well with them.

Its sounds Mission Impossible to some soccer fans who are over-awed the strength of other team. For sure its going to be a helluva tournament. Many great teams will bite the dust but the Black Stars will prevail absolutely. Here are some reasons why:

(1)Most of the so-called soccer nations like Brazil, Germany,Holland, Portugal, France, Argentina have the big names. But they do not have a cohesive team as is usually the case for most world cups. The Black Stars also have some sharp shooters, veteran mid-fielders and defense-men.It all boils down to serious strategy which must be rehearsed before we leave for Brazil.

(2) We focus on the first match with the USA. This game is crucial to both countries. Klinsmann strategy will include all possible means to get rid of Baby Jet either by policing him or taking out his knee cap. Appiah must avoid that and should know this and should not play negative football of survival against USA. The two gear formation 4-4-2 cum 3-5-2 cum 4-4-2 formation will be okay. The forwards will use the Messi and Kwadwo Asamoah's technique of sending powerful diagonal shots at the US goal keeper. The shots must be taken from eclipse at the edge of the penalty box. Muntari could send that Uruguayan-game type curling long shots at the US goalkeeper.

(3)Portugal is a great team reveals that the team is over-dependent on CR7. During the few days that we will
have Commanders Konadu and Appiah could use Atsu or the sons of maestro Abedi to simulate the moves of CR7 as observed on the videos brought by special agent Tornado. Then our defense will rehearse strategies to either get the ball from or tip the ball away from him or force him to pass the ball to a marked player. They should watch the Portugal v Sweden qualifying game and see how Ibrahimovich scored his two goal and then Appiah should analyze what errors led to CR&'s 3 goals in that game. In the Portuguese game, the Black Stars could use the 5-gear formation with Commander Appiah shifting the gears on the touchline in the 4-4-2 to 3-5-2 to 4-2-4 to 4-3-3 to 4-2-4 and back to 4-4-2. If we are ahead by 2 or more goals , then the last gear could be 5-4-1 in the last 20 minutes of the game. The shot selection could include Mfum or Romario's toe shot, Acquah's knee shot that is used to re-direct impromptu volleys or the hell-fire thunderbolt shot.

(4)For the German game we could play the una-gear formation depending on what the Germans are going to do. If they play their traditional 3-5-2 formation, the Black Stars should also play the same 3-5-2 formation and force the Germans to change their game plan. Thus Commander Appiah should get guns ready to frustrate the Germans. We draw first blood and change to the safer 4-4-2 formation.

(5) If the players can go through all this preparation then an aura of confidence and invincibility will enter their minds and that will lead to victory.

FLASHBACK

Everything depends on strategy and confidence. Before the 1966 world cup , the North Koreans invented the 1-1-8 formation and their leader gave them a battle song that their victory was for all oppressed humans on earth. They tried the crazy formation on Guam whom the North Koreans beat 32-0 and headed for England WC1966. In the quarter finals they used the 1-1-8 formation against the 4-3-2-1 of Italy. They were almost suffocated but they won 1-0. In the semifinals with Eusebio's Portugal the North Koreans used 1-0-9 formation. In the first 20 minutes, the score was North Korea 3 Portugal 0. Then the referee awarded 2 penalties and called a thousand off-sides. Finally the North Koreans lost 4-3.

For the contest between David of Judah and Goliath of Gath, it must be noted that David practiced throwing those sling shots against deadly lions in the desert. Then the incompetence and stupidity of the armour-bearer ,who did not raise the shield strategically to protect the reckless Goliath, and the Divine Intervention by Yahweh saved the day and victory went to Israel.

Are they experienced with a high soccer iq? Based on the qualities I mentioned? Have they won any trophies recently to boost their confidence on the field?
If each player on the final 23 list has these qualities. Then gh can assure itself of contending for thetrophy. Anything less, then forget it

Our last friendly was damn disappointing, before the game I would have bet top dollar that we were going to annihilate them. We lost 1-0 to Bosnia, come on. The onus is now on this team to demonstrate in our remaining friendlies that we are capable of effectively competing with and possibly beating Portugal and the USA to qualify out of the groups in Brazil. I was pretty confident we were going to beat the USA, Portugal and draw with Germany. I am not too sure now after watching our last friendly.
