Government money is the tax payer's money. If you, who are also being paid the tax payer, are giving out the tax payer's money to footballers without a return, the tax payer has the right to ask why. If indeed you are not asking for a return- is it because you want the records/money to disappear? Any explanation? Can the country also make money from the tournament? How come reports on how the governemnt can make money from the tournament is so limited? I wonder how many of these leaders are actually working for the ordinary Ghanaian. Either we're deceived by journalists or as in my opinion, we're just fucked up until we clean this house.

Amazing how Ghana continue to decieve themselves as big boys of world football fraternity. The latest release of approveval of $75,000 appearance fee and $15,000 match bonus has elicited mockery comments accross Africa especially Nigeria. Nigerians particularly are making mockery of how Ghana's poor economy can cope with such gargantuan demand from Black Stars players who have nothing to show for their endless demand weak and begger economy.
Football it seems is all Ghana wants to flount to the outside world even that has not produced any meaningful results in the last 35 years except quarter final exploit in South Africa which has also become stale over the years cos others have done so before Ghana.

The Costa Rica national team commission president Adrián Gutiérrez made it clear to his country in late November, 2013 that a sum of $13 million was going to be given to qualifying countries after FIFA's Organizing Committee meeting in December 3rd 2013. Ghanaians needed to know it now how much money was received from FIFA as tournament participants? It will be prudent to retain the remaining amount after all expenses towards the tournament has been paid in the GFA Account for them to invest with it for future use. The remaining money should not go into Government chest.
Government and officials in African countries are so secretive and corrupt when it comes to money. To date, no one has come out to mention what role FIFA is playing in terms of sponsorship funds and yet a country like Costa Rica has made us know what FIFA is doing prior to the commencement of the tournament. Enough is enough, officials in Ghana. Let us know now how much FIFA has given out and stop throwing dust into our eyes as if Government is sponsoring the tournament with its own money. This stupid perception should be stopped now. E&OE.
