I guess our guys played with caution, trying to to avoid injury.

I feel it does not matter whether it's the first, second or the last minute. It was not a so-so, marginal, 50-50 penalty; it was clear, almost blatant.

A hook-down foul by us in the middle was ignored by him, yet a few seconds later he called a similar one against Monte, setting the fans into boos.

That final penalty by us was also ignored by him.
This is the best ref for the Black Stars I have ever seen.
He was more than fair to us; he favoured us.

Both sides played rough, but not all game long.
The BS did not seem motivated, perhaps because it's a just a friendly and they wanted to minimise their niggles.

I'm not worried.
They will rise.
They almost always do when elimination fears stare us in the face.

The Americans should not celebrate ahead of time because of the Black Stars' outing today.

Because a penalty call does not necessarily have to be followed by a yellow or a red, as the ref may deem the penalty enough punishment.

I also don't understand Appiah's selection. Although, it is a trial match that does not mean you start with team B before bringing team A. Normally, the team A starts in such match and then after they have secured the victory, you bring in the team B to see who could be used for substitution; it was unwise decision. If Asamoah Gyan is not starting or playing, why would put KVP, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah and Ayew on reserve?

These are the only times we have to play against international squad and he must make use of those time, especially when you have all the squad with you. Secondly, any loss counts against your international ranking. He should make note of that.

On international stage, he has not put KVP, Essien, Muntari, Djan and Ayew together. This is the time, he has to put them together and see if it would fit well with them. During the African stages, we did not have all of them and when we had all of them, he normally replaced one with each other. In Brazil, we need our TEAM A together as Portugal, Spain and Italy were doing today.

The backward thinking that I would not let people or other teams know who are my first or best selection should give way to positive thinking of putting them together to assess the chemistry between them. He should not rely on the chemistry between them during practice.

I also don't understand Appiah's selection. Although, it is a trial match that does not mean you start with team B before bringing team A. Normally, the team A starts in such match and then after they have secured the victory, you bring in the team B to see who could be used for substitution; it was unwise decision. If Asamoah Gyan is not starting or playing, why would put KVP, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah and Ayew on reserve?

These are the only times we have to play against international squad and he must make use of those time, especially when you have all the squad with you. Secondly, any loss counts against your international ranking. He should make note of that.

With only a few months to the world cup the right thing to do is to field your core squad so that they can gel. This is a total waste of a friendly match. It is also difficult to tell what formation the coach is playing with 2 out and out strikers on the field. Even the best teams in the world do not do that and at a point in time in the game we had 3 strikers on the field. We seriously need some help with our technical team otherwise we should forget about progressing beyond the group stages in the world cup. Kwesi Appiah's tactical decisions are poor and cannot match up to that of experienced European and South American coaches. Kwarasey should be our #1.

Defenders allowing aerial balls to bounce in front of them, players giving passes to opponents, clear crossing chances ending up in no man's land, players not attacking spaces with the ball, too much individualism with the ball, some doing ball watching, setting defensive offside traps at random places when its suppose to be at or in front of the penalty box, long balls being played to short attackers, shooting under pressure when it could have relayed to another player who is free. I mean overall, we weren't prepared and didn't have the effective strategy to play such compact, counter attacking opponents. We lack the cutting edge and lacked inspiration. The coach need to know that there are players who don't understand what it means to play for Ghana, they only understand what it means to play with Essien and fool. Those players must be shown the exit. We want a serious team which understands what preparation means to outcome. Jerry Akaminko cannot hold the defensive fortress in neutral. He lacks the composure to so. Jonathan Mensah should be out there

It looks like we are still experimenting with how to approach games. 3 months away from our first game and we have not yet discovered our identity as a team- no style, little flair, limited creativity and above all lack of ability to change games based on the opponent's style of play.We have good players to be able to compete at the highest level but we have to play to our strength. Given the performance level of our players over the qualifiers and this friendly it's quite apparent that we flourish against teams with porous defenses but but utterly struggle to create clear-cut chances. We better prepare to play compact defensive football with fluid counter attack if not I am afraid we will weep at the mundial.If we play an open game with teams with very potent attacks, we will concede many goals with the kind of attitude displayed by our players today. Everyone keeps talking bout how well we did during the qualifiers but let us not forget that we did struggle in some of the matches. We have only 3 games in the group stages so any mistakes may be too hard to recover from.3 months is a short period. No more experiments, it is time to fine tune tactics. God bless Ghana.

We've just seen who we are and what we can expect in the WC in June with our first trial. Maybe Coach Kwasi Appiah is happy with the results---I just don't know.

It looks as if we're the only team along Cameroon, in Africa that lost in our game; every other country won drew levels in their trials.

Looks like Kwasi Appiah and Maxwell Konadu are good at packing our mid-field and defence line, but don't have any clues about ball control and distribution, let alone making authoritative incursions and creating goal-scoring initiatives into the opponents goal area. There's a lot of modern tricks out there to grasp, lots of techniques to use to win games.

I won't attempt to dampen the spirits of our honourable coaches, but my advise is to have them open up and be abreast with modern football techniques so we may be able to shock the world. We seem to have started on he wrong note with our loss against Montenegro.

I'd suggest that Coach Silas Tetteh be part of our technical bench; his style of ball possession, ball distribution, inter-positional changes and ball control is classic. I believe his contribution will be of great value to us. I hope our Sports Minister, and GFA Boss will consider his inclusion in our team.

Coach Silas Tetteh has proven that we can rob shoulders with football elite countries with our style of fluent football. There shouldn't be any problems here; I'm only making a suggestion that please bring Coach Silas Tetteh on board. After watching him guide Black Satelites or our junior national teams to WCs with sterling performances at top levels in WCs, he's one coach we can't ignore in our preparation. There's no doubt that Coach Silas is a great coach.

I'm in no way attempting to create problems here; I'm only making an appeal or suggestion to our Sports Minister, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and GFA Boss, Kwasi Nyantakyi. Folks don't get me wrong. I hope folk will agree with me here. Peace and prosperity to all of us. Amen!

It is a delight to see your country play well against a tough and top class oponent like the Nigeria/Mexico match which 75 thousand capacity arena was sold out weeks before the match. Unlike the Black Stars second rated oponents Montenegro which they still lost to, and were even cluless how to unlock their defence for a whole 90 minutes with all the "Stars" we claim to have in Muntari, Essien, Asamoah Gyan & Co. If this is what Black Stars will look like in Brazil; then the South African shine and glory has deserted the team a long time ago. We probably did not realise this early enough when we started loosing to the likes of Burkina Faso, Mali & Zambia. Our story for the world cup in Brazil doesn't look good with this standard of play.

One would suppose that every good coach would start with his best 11 and win the match first before he begins to experiment.

Sometimes, it's the unwise decision of a coah that costs his team's defeat. I'm afraid, that's precisely what has happened in this match. The players you've benched are the goal scorers and I wonder why you could make such a terrible decision. Isn't it shameful that Ghana could not beat Montenegro, or at least draw with them? Whom are the Stars going to beat if they can't Montenegro? I'm very disappointed in you.

Had it not been the penalty, David Addy would have been hailed by many for the role he manned. This means he is good but it was unfortunate. The courage he marshaled after his fault is the kind needed at the World Cup.

Jordan is not yet ripe for Brazil and Rabiu is going to be our Anthony Anang of 2010. Rabiu needs to be called for he is strong, fast and 98 percent ball winner.

That it was low in FIFA ranking and Ghana was high, that it did not even qualify for the WC, that it was not a known football nation etc. The match has been played and we have been whipped by the so-called unknown. Now let the critics come out of their shadows and tell us what they think of the decision.
