All his team members move about in game hilarity showcasing their force and willingness to get things done. Essien just hardly moves! He feels too heavy, nonchalant and confused even with passing balls. Over time, Essien is not the person we knew. Don't tell me it's age: Eto and Drogba are doing far better.

Esien is by far more skillful than most of them including Mickel. My advice for him is to leave the club and join Asamoah Gyan for a couple of years and then retire. There are more important things in life than money and what ever goes up must come down.

And if there is one position where Ghana has abundance of talent, is the midfield. I think the boy needs to play regularly to get his form or at least close to his form. He granted an interview after Chelsea's FA cup encounter with Derby County; he told the press he needed more intencity build up upfront so he had to replace Micheal Essien with Eden Hazard, soon as that was done the intencity which was lacking and brought on by the introduction of Hazard resulted in a goal scored by Obi Mickel.
