  I have always suggested to improve the ghana league and thus the national team, all local players should at least, play in the local league for two/three years before they can be allowed to go pro. This Donkor guy is a good player from all indications however he has never played in the ghana premier league and yet he is being allowed to go pro. He has not even played in the division one league!...And this should apply to all the soccer academy kids.They should play in the local league before going outside the country. This will help the local league to become more competitive and will encourage fans to go watch them. If the local league is good and competitive, it will help the national team too. Im not against donkor going out to seek greener pastures but he should play in the local league and gain more experience.
