FIFA and their supporters, especially CAF will learn sense. CAF is the main problem!
They will never bring play-offs for Africa again. They never knew Africa, South of the Sahara, could sweep the WC tickets. If they had known, they would never have accepted that offer!
They thought their favorites could qualify more with play-offs because of their home advantage.
In league format, someone can beat you 6-1, but you can recover and qualify; play-off is not the same. Zambia beat Ghana away, but Ghana was able to recover and qualified. If it was a play-off, Zambia would have qualified.
Now it's left with Burkina to show CAF that Africa South of The Sahara is civilized!
My critics will say Hayatou is a Cameroonian. Yes he is, but only a citizen. He is the "slave" for FIFA!!!

Kaka, you made a good point by the coach playing a single striker upfront due to the 6-1 margin. I thought about that but what if it backfires? Going to Egypt with the mentality as going to play a defensive game plan with counter-attack, I thought it was too risky. To me, that could generate a different atmosphere for the Egyptians that we are there to play draw or to protect our 5 goal difference. That will pile pressure on our players and anything could happen. Because of that reason, I was even tempted to go with a 4-3-3 formation to let them know that we are there to beat them on top of that 6-1. This rather would put fear in them and psychologically, would let them think twice before they decide to put pressure on us.
However, thinking about it, I thought of safety first, to keep the goal margin, and to also pull threat on them. Let them know that we are not afraid of them.
Now, with your changes to my selection as in bringing Kwedwo Asamoah to the left back like Juve was sometime using him, I don't think it is a bad idea too. On the contrary, here is my concern. When we used that formation during Afcon 2013, it didn't help us. Besides, we have 3 experienced left full-backs in the names of Daniel Opare, Harrison Afful and David Nii Addy, we could use to stop both Mohamed and Ibrahim Salah whoever Bob Bradley will use. Both Daniel Opare and David Addy for example, are doing so well in the respective clubs. Why can't we use one of them?
Essien, on the other hand, plays with his head more now than have even been. He has the experience and know exactly what to do when these Egyptians are trying to play smart to get penalties to frustrate us from the game. To me, all we have to do is to let Essien play just a little higher than Jerry Akaminko and all will be well. In this way, before the opponent gets to the middle or our defense, they will have to pass through the "Bison" to get to Jerry.
Andrea Ayew on the right, Kwedwo Asamoah on the left of the midfielders. KPB partners with Sully Ali Muntari as the engine of our territory, though KPB would be moving forward and play as the hidden play maker, behind the strikers, when we have possession. This alone should put fear in the opponent. I believe by the time they realized that we have landed in Cairo, the demolishing process has already reached way too far for them to stop it.
Ghana 3 Egypt 1 final score, that is my prediction.
What the coach is saying, I think he wants was to go for a real history. If that happened, then I guess my prediction of the scoreline would not hold. I wish him the best! We want more goals coach. The mentality of how to approach the match though, is right on money. According to him, he is going all the way for the kill. I love that.
I still stick to the selection and the formation I predicted. Once again, here is my selection for the game.
1. Adam Kwarasey
2. Samuel Inkoom, since he could be able to track Mohamed Salah back when he, Inkoom overlaps.
3. Daniel Opare (there is no competition on this one)
4. Micheal Essien (Allowing Essien to play at the heart of our defense pairing with Jerry Akaminko wouldn't be a bad idea. At least this will limit mistakes at the back-line to avoid any inexperience penalty committed by any inexperience defender.
5. Jerry Akaminko
6. Sulley Ali Muntari
7. Andrea Ayew
8. Kevin Prince Boateng (The prince Himself is in the house!)
9. Asamoah Gyam
10. Majeed Warris
11. Kwedwo Asamoah
With a formation, 4-3-1-2. With this formation, Kevin would be playing at the back of the two attackers, Asamoah Gyan and Majeed Warris. Kevin would as well serve as the fourth midfielder when the opponent, Egypt, has possession.
This is my prediction. I am not trying to dictate for the coach. It is just a prediction. Thanks.

Nigeria has won
Ivory Coast won
Cameroon too won
It left Burkina Faso against Algeria and Ghana against Egypt.

So you want Ghana to go to Cairo only to defend? What sense does that make? We have to attack because our defense at the moment is not that bad. Even if we are able to score 1 goal before they score their first 4 goals, Ghana will break their back completely as they would have to climb higher with 3 more goals to level up. Talking about Cameroon, they began their attacks right from the start and that's how they were able to lead with the first 2 goals. Going into this game with a defensive mindset sounds very silly because we are already far ahead. All we need is to break their back as early as possible.

I don't know if what you are describing here is not a defensive mindset. An advantage of 6 to 1 does not mean we have to wait for attack first. As a matter of fact we need to put pressure on them first to break their back even with a lone goal. We have enough back up to finish the job just in case the starters get tired. So rather than wait for them, we should let them stay on the defensive from the start and when they are tired, they will open up. Our goal should not be to stop them from reaching where we are, it should be to increase the gap to let them feel demoralized and then give up. I fully respect and understand your point but if I were the coach, I won't follow your Cameroon strategy, theirs was a whole different ball game.

You cannot blame Kwasi Appiah for the loss in AFCON 2013. First of all, he was less than 10 months on the job, still searching for fresh legs as most of our powerful players were already dead horses before AFCON 2012. Here are some of our players who went dead before AFCON 2012:
1. Olele Joshua
2. Jonathan Mensah
3. Samuel Inkoom
4. John Mensah
5. John Paintsil
6. Anthony Annan
7. Dominic Adiyiah
8. Douglas Tagoe
9. Lee Addy
10. Laryea Kingston
11. Stephen Appiah
While some made a come back, some others of these players never found their feet back until now. The only players that were still in form after the 2010 world cup in South Africa were:
1. Isaac Vorsah
2. Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu
3. Andre Dede Ayew
3. Kwadwo Asamoah
4. Sulley Muntari
Some of the Black Stars players were having issues with the coach who was fairly new because they saw a vacuum and wanted to take over the national team for their own selfish ambitions. For this they started with all kinds of demands and some stupid Ghanaians decided to back them up. Notable among these were Dede Ayew and his newly invited brother Jordan Ayew, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan, Quincy Abeyie and Sulley Muntari. Meanwhile Dede and Jordan began to take the Black Stars as their personal property and only playing Kokofu ball. Kwasi Appiah realized that his only choice was to invite more competition and instill discipline.
Appiah has come a long way to form this strong squad with strict discipline and scores of invitation for competition and that has paid off. Today we now have Atsu, Jordan, Wakasso, Waris, Akaminko, Afful, Opare, Sumaila, Awal, Boye, Adomah and many more due to Appiah's relentless efforts.
The Black Stars is destined to be a super dangerous powerhouse in world soccer when all the injured return and more talents invited.

Black Stars must stay focus right from the start. The Egyptians will try to score early to boost their confidence and get the crowd behind them. Even more so when they think our players may be still apprehensive about security issues. With this in mind they will try to come at us right from the referee's blast of the first whistle. So it is important that we stay focus especially from the start; neutralise them with possessive football and surprise them ourselves with an early goal. Wish the Black Stars and the technical team best of luck to defend the flag of Ghana.

Wari 1, Boat 2, Gyan 2,Essien 1, Sulley 1 Mensah 1,Ayew 1, This is my feeling not a prediction. Meaning a total of 9 goals. These my humble proud men of Ghana will not lets down. Every one in Ghana love these guys. Particularly, those of us outside culminate this with our noble walks every day. When you mention to people that you are from Ghana they pause with a smile look and say the black stars. "Those guys are too fast". I give them a proprietary smile back and say its the food our mothers cook. It will be devilishly hard for a non Ghana to do without the famous fufu, TZ and kenkey and the best one is the bomku with okra soup with peanut butter. The stars are luminous in the field and they will be voluminous in the field in Egypt coming Tuesday the 19th of Nov. The Black Stars will engage these Egyptian in a paladin and they will not be able to ascertain the kind of psychic magnetism they got. They will only fret over it for many years to come.
After looking at the pictures from the camp, I could see the impulse and intuition they had. They are very proud men. I can,t wait for them to meet these circus aerialist call Phao-roooooos. I hope the stars can cynically exploit their game tactics by not allowing them to score in the next 20-30 minutes. Like in boxing constant blows to the mid-section of your opponent reduces his power to punch. So the stars will do the same thing to these guys.

It's good to go all out but drop Kevin Boateng from the national team because we have noticed that it is ONLY world cup that brings him to the team. He retired from Ghana national team just after the 2010 world cup in South Africa so he wasn't there for African cups played, he wasn't there also for 2014 world cup qualifying league until he realized that Ghana to the world cup will be possible and he called off he retirement from the national team. If he gets the chance to play the only one match left with Egypt, he shouldn't think that one match would be enough for him to be in the national team. I will advise him to retire again from the national team because his dream to the would cup would not come true.

Shut the minds of the Twinkle Twinkle Boys ,off those six Kumasi goals. Take it that, nothing had happened. The main battle is yet to begin. Just go in with a killer-instinct. Bag- in six-- , seven goals ---,eight, –perhaps more, without conceding one. The game tempo of the Black Stars must sustain and end at the last whistle. After that last whistle, ask for a reminder of the Kumasi outcome. The purpose then is to perm the aggregate. I can offer you a calculator at that stage. Is that clear?

The best defensive strategy in every encounter,is to attack.
We do not have to give them any breathing space,by neutralizing all their concerted efforts to render them hopeless.
WE HAVE GOOD DEFENCE,MID-FIELDS & FRONT ATTACHERS,therefore we have to meet them squarely in their square holes.
I don't think they have anything to prove they are better than we are.
Kwasi Appiah's hands are full, with all the best players in his camp, what can these PHAROAHS do?
Ghana should put pressure on them and score them the first goal,to counteract any tactics they have,so fear, frustration and confusion, would take a toll on their mind and strength.
WE NEED FAITH,COURAGE,CONFIDENCE,WISDOM to execute the strategy, our coach has already put in place, and Ghana will come out the champions,in the end.
May God protect and guide our people,as THEY USHER INTO EGYPT,THE 19TH NOV.2013 AND COME OUT WITH FLYING COLOURS,

The Cairo 2nd leg is to some of us a confirmation match. The Black Stars must play the 2nd leg as if qualification to the world cup depends only on that match. Victory in Cairo will do a lot to boost the confidence and image of the Stars as they make their final preparations to go to Brazil. The coach's mentality is thus perfect.

Look I have watched Egypt and they are
overrated. A team like Kotoko or Hearts of oak
with good preparations can beat them. After all did Hearts not beat them in Egypt? Look at the record of Ahly and Hearts and you realize that Hearts is ahead of them in wins. Even if we
have beaten them 2-0 in Ghana, looking at the game do you seriously think they can prevent us from going to Brazil with the pedigree of players we have? Please. Now for this Nemesis guy, you always try to get in negatively each time Ghanaians are talking among themselves.
Has Ghana not beaten Nigeria 7-0 before in Accra? Twakaa!

Kwesi, you are about to make history but I will advise you to watch the match between Ivory-Coast and Senegal played yesterday in Morroco and learn a lot from that game. The soccer-power the Senegalese exhibited was beyond belief which worn out the Ivorians completely but finishing was their only problem.
I will say that with the creme of players at your disposal now, you need only to build their stamina and exhibit that power soccer which most countries can't cope with it. If you complete their stamina out of doubt, believe you and me, with no hindrances, You and the team are going to take the World Soccer Cup to Ghana. What a fate and sweet it will be!.
