Why didn't FIFA use an independent body to ascertain the security situation? Whether we come out safe or not this decision is stupid. The kind of security to make the game successful will be too expensive. That being said should we expect them to invest that much into a game that they are logically out? They are losers and they don't care; is the whole point.

That is a shameful decision! How could FIFA state that they accept the security guarantees from the Egyptian govenment when the same government cannot provide security to its citizens without resorting to violence?
FIFA should have considered that the situation has been made worse for the simple reason that Ghana is leading the tie 6-1 and it is going to be a miracle for the Egyptians to turn this round by beating Ghana 5-0 (or at best force extra time and a subsequent penalty shoot-out by beating Ghana 6-1). For that reason, the Egyptians' only route to fame would be per events outside the field. For that matter, both players and spectators would not be safe anywhere in Egypt around the date of the clash, and the security guarantee would require that the Ghanaian contingent of players, officials and ordinary spectators must be protected from the time they leave Ghana until they are back in Ghana. Anything less than that would not be enough.
I suggest that the Ghanaian contingent should contain a team of our own special forces personnel who will take charge of any security situation affecting our people. To be fore warned is to be fore armed!

We are TALKING about guarantees for the FANS!!!!!!, we know the Egyptian authorities may not be foolish to put the players in harms way, but can we say the same about Ghanaian fans?
All FIFA has shown is that they do not want Ghanaian supporters to be there to cheer on our team. The want a stadium filled with 30,000 Egyptian so that maybe they can get their choice *Egypt* to maybe qualify.
I have lost all respect for that org.

This is a very very unfair decision. Whatever the motive only God can tell. But there will be a live telecast of this match and the whole world will be watching. If Egypt can pass the test after Mursi's appearance in court on November 4th then the venue will remain the same. But if a new wave of violence begins after November 4th then the GFA should re-appeal to FIFA to change the venue, period. For now we know that FIFA is out there to help Egypt. But whatever help, let me state that no team in the world right now can beat a committed Black Stars team by five goal margin, not even Spain or Brazil. So Egypt and their cohorts should stop thinking about qualifying it does not matter if each Egyptian player would be promised ten million dollar qualifying bonus. For now I can assure the rest of the world that the Black Stars are committed to going to Brazil and no one except God can stop them.

I've always thought Nyantekyi claims Ghana is an annointed member of FIFA and can always have a sympathy in issues of this nature because Ghana has been the surviving participant ahead of other African countries in the last 2 world cup.? This type of GFA/Ghana feeling of Self Importance attitude must stop. Other African countries have been there with a better record than Ghana in the past. For all you know Ghana is even yet to beat any top ranked European football nation in any competitve game. (I'm not talkinng about fifa ranking) Go check the records; Cameroun was the first to do it when they shocked the whole world with spectacular performance against Argetina, and even was almost in the semi final ever by an African country in quarter final duel with Britain; save for the last minute contrvercial penalty. Nigeria did same by beating Spain in world cup tornament and the Queen of Spain wept openly in the crowd. Senegal did same against France in a world cup opening match and as well got to the quarter finals even on their first qualification to the world cup. Morocco was another sterling ferfomer at another world cup so Ghana should stop the self imposed importance and accept there ever existed better performers; records which they are yet to beat. You flex muscles at world cup qualifications and yet smaller African countries like Mali, Zambia, Burkina Faso outplay and dent your overbloated ego. You almost always claim to the favourates in all African competitions and yet when you are bruised and disgraced at a quarterfinal level you now begin to search for excuses. Ghana should stop the self impotance attitude and get real with issues afterall Egypt came here with aged and tired players so what is the big deal about your victory against Egypt. If Ghana's home and away march with Zambia were considered as the play off Ghana would have been out. Check other achivements of other African countries in the past and learn to keep your excitement at bay.

We must stop this childish game and concentrate on football. We must reckon that, the psychological battle for venue change is now over. FIFA has spoken. The Egyptian authorities have given the guarantees that Cairo will be safe just like Kumasi. Our own ambassador in Cairo has also confirmed that Cairo is safe. We should gird our loins and go there and complete the mission to go to Brazil. We are leading 6-1 and we must defend this jealously.
The Pharaohs will be glad to exploit our naivety if we display any. In fact this is what they are praying for. Their prayer is that we should should really be afraid in Cairo such that our play will be disjointed.
We must therefore wise-up quickly. There is nothing to fear in Cairo. We only have to prepare well like in the first leg and play our best game to win in Cairo.
It is only going to be 90 minutes plus of soccer in Cairo and nothing more - the players must fix their minds on this only.

The Elwak stadium is an E-FIT of the Egyptian Air defence stadium and by conducting training sessions at the here, the MINDS and general PSYCHOLOGY of our players and supporters will be perfectly TUNED UP to withstand any pressure.Mind you the captain Asamoah Gyan has already admitted the fears the players harbour .Elwak training grounds IS PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY AND ANTEDOTE THAT CAN DO UNDO THE BABYJET FEARS.

The GFA need not worry too much about the venue though there are concerns about an on going riots between the pro moise the ex president and the government in a nationwide troubles ending in death and injuries aroung the EGYPTIAN CAPITAL CAIRO and the venue where the BLACK STARS ARE PLAYING, but I know the players are more determine than ever and are willing to battle it with the EGYPTIANS from beginning to the end as they eye their massive chances of going to BRAZIL, the fact is the EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT knows the security of the BLACK STARS ARE in their hands and if anything should happen to them they will be held responsible and may be a heavy fine as a result so they will try their utmost best to ensure safety at all cost. What the GFA and Coach AKWESI APPIAN should do now is to prepare the boys for the ultimate battle with the view of winning. All the BLACK STARS have to do is score at the slightest opportunity they get and cover the midfield and prevent an EGYPTIAN penetration. Hopefully JOHN BOYE will be fit enough to fill the gat in central defence and make it much stronger. The attackers still pose a threat and am optimistic they will score even in CAIRO 3 or 4 goals and the more they score the difficult it is for the home team to come back as it earns two points instead of one on aggregate. There is 90 percent chance of the STARS qualifying in no doubt but also have to be cautious at the same time. This is a time for GHANA to rally around the STARS and put all doubts behind and go for the win coz a win for the Black STARS is a win for the entire nation of GHANA. good luck lads AND GO FOR IT, shine in the eyes of the world on the 19th November and come back to GHANA to receive a splendid welcome. Am so excited and cant wait for the kick off from footballers point of views.

FIFA'S ARAB ASSURANCE SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED. GFA MUST DEMAND 200% PROTECTION FOR THE PLAYERS, SUPPORTERS AND OFFICIALS IN CAIRO. WE CAN'T TRUST THIS CURSED ASSURANCE BECAUSE EGYPT WIL NOT COME OUT AND SINCERLY SAY THAT THEY C ...

We will go to Egypt but FIFA must be held liable if anything untoward shold happen to any Ghanaian. Simple

FIFA president is such a dopy, how can we play match in a war zone.

FIFA is sh*t. if it was England or any other European country, would they have come out with such a decision?? Useless organisms

My only advice for GFA is to abandon the match at the last hour and FIFA can only give Egypt 3 goals 3 points and Ghana still would qualify for the world cup and also save us some money and the lives of our players
To PSYCHOLOGICALLY change and prepare the mindset of our PLAYERS(The Blackstars) ,supporters and officials, I shall as a matter of urgency urge the GFA and ICE COOL KWASI APPIAH to consider the idea of holding all their ...
