i still dont understand when people label Andre Ayew as an indiscipline dude just because he wasnt happy when he was substituted. such things happens everyday in soccer. The GFA and Akwesi Appiah handled the situation unprofessionally.
i will be interested to know the outcome of the GFA investigation on the alleged report about some GFA members having a secret meeting on how to frustrate the Ayews. was there any investigation or the whole thing was swept under the carpet. A newspaper published a list of players selected for AFCON and the list was without Jordan Ayew. Akwesi Appiah gave an interview that the list was not from him and that it should be ignored. A few days later he brought out his list and lo n behold Jordan wasnt on it. The question i am asking now is wo leaked the list to the press earlier than the coach and why wasnt the coach bold enough to confirm that list in the 1st place.
To the Andre Ayew injury saga, this guy has played alot of games for Ghana with a bad shoulder and every Ghanaian knows he is a guy who always gives his best and they should have made an exception nd his wish to see his doctor in france should have been respected. Ghana ended up with injured players on the bench and The Team doctors couldnt help a guy like Yiadom who only twisted an Ankle.
its about time the GFA put a stop tribalism, nepotism, favouritism, hatred and corruption.

Who is to blame? I say don't look that far but the father, Adedi Pele. Even though Abedi didn't cause it, for the fact that he has been quite on this case, should be questioned.
Here is why I'm saying that.
What generated all these? Do you all recall when Dede wasn't playing well during Ghana and Malawi macth and was taken out? He began to misbehave and it was right on the field. He disrespected the coach and the technical team right there in front of the world. Later he was rebuked by the media, don't you all forget not the GFA or the coach, the MEDIA, and the fans. He finally came and apologized to the tech team and the public. Since then, have you heard anything good about Dede? Not yet, if you will ask me.
Therefore, my question is, is this to retaliate of what he already apologized to? Is he and his brother doing all these to get Appiah back? I thought Appiah and the Ayews have a very good relationship. Why the father, Abedi Pele, can't step in and talk some sense into these children?
This article is asking who is to blame? I know most people will blame the GFA and for some reason yes, most of the blame is to be directed to the the GFA. On the contrary, what we are missing in this whole picture is for the fact that GFA considered some players to take a break to recuperate from their injuries and their psychological unstableness doesn't mean others should take advantage of that.
According to Dede, Essien, Asamoah Gyan, and the rest took off when they needed time; therefore, he is going to do the same. He wants to be psychological stable before he can play again for the nation. His relationship with the management isn't a smooth ride, hence, wants to take a break. Has he forgotten that Essien got hurt before requested for time out? Essien was hurt whilst in Black Stars camp. Dede on the other hand, is not hurt and is playing well with his club. Therefore, how in the world does he want to use Essein's timeout request as his reference? That was a bad example to be used in this case.
Asamoah Gyan's case is a different one which yes, Dede and his brother could use that as an example. On the contrary, for the fact that GFA gave Gyan that break, should anyone of them use it against the GFA? To me, GFA was just being considerate and now it has back-fired. It seems the Ayews don't want any of the players to be considered even at a player's time of healing from injury.
Like I asked, where is the father hiding? If this case was to be about a different player, Abedi Pele would have said something quick. For the fact that the issue is about his kids, he has been muted about it. He, as a legend, I thought would have handled this case wisely but I'm not seeing anything like that from him. I thought he would have handled his children differently since he is aware of the media and the status of his children. Are you telling me he can't control his own children or he has decided not to be part of the solution, right? Abedi Pele of all people has kept quite on this issue and to me it is an indication of how easy one approaches a situation when it involves him.
This is very sad.

Count them and it is almost balanced in terms of tribes. By the way, which tribe are you talking about is being discriminated against? Please come back and respond.
All I'm getting from your comment, when I read between the lines, is for the GFA, including the coach, should be removed from Office. Is that your solution? Do you think that is what will solve the problem? Remember, a character is a character. Even if a new coach and new executive members are assigned into office, the character of the Ayews could not vanish. If a new coach is assigned, what they are doing to this administration will probably stop for just a little while; it will stop just briefly. However, as soon as one of them misbehaves and a coach disciplines him, or let me say, when one couldn't make it into a squad, this attitude will occur again. It will be just a matter of time after a new coach is picked and Appiah is fired.
The solution is not getting these people out.
Here is the solution. Like POW said, we should allow them to take the off as long as they want. On the contrary, there should be a condition to it. You take a year off, GFA should adds two more years to your long vac. That will give Jordan Ayew enough time to work hard as he requested. What he has to know is that the Black Stars positions are not restored or kept for any citizen, and therefore, he wouldn't be allowed to be the first. That is why it is a national team. all citizens in the country is entitled to that Red, Gold Green jersey. When one is qualified, he earns it with his talent and hard work. No one had a permanent place in the squad like his father, Abedi Pele, dominated his jersey during his playing days. I mean, during the end of the 80s and the early ages of the 90s. His father earned that position because his skills, his hard work, and his dedication gave him that advantage over others. That is why he held his position for a long time. Those days are far gone. If Essien, Muntari, Stephen Appiah, John Mensah and the rest were not allowed to have a permanent place in the squad, what makes him think one would be given to him?
Concerning Dede, the long vacation from national duty will help him to get his attitude adjustment right. He is a fine player, but not an extraordinary player and that is the truth. Even Messi, the world's best, is humble; therefore, how much more Dede? Is Dede that different from those struggling to solidify thire positions in the squad? Dede needs discipline and that is the fact. Folks, kindly not let us beat around the bush. Give them as long years as they wish. Ghana will still be here when they are ready to come back. Their return will still not guarantee them a place in the Black Stars. They will have to fight to earn the place after those days are over.
If nothing is done to these attitudes, others coming after them would be contaminated. Is that what we want? I don't think so.

Since this hullabaloo started, I've not read any single story published on Ghanaweb about it; I only read people's comments. Why? Because there is a pattern! Today I was reading Sammy The Sheriff's comments at work, but I was too busy to reply. He was repeating consistently that the duo should be retired permanently. That's not the question. They say they are retiring; not Ghanaians say they should retire.`
Now my questions to Slimzay: Why do you want Abedi to talk? The children are adults (adult sons of Abedi), and could easily have asked Abedi to stay clear of the matter. Understand? Next question: Essien, KVP, Asamoah Gyan (at some point), retired. Balotelli and Welbeck refused to play when it was clear that they almost agreed to play for us. Can't you see a pattern, Mr. Slimzay?
There is a problem -- most likely the GFA. All these things I have mentioned cannot be a coincidence. I have read the whole of today that "let those indiscipline players go and rot in hell."
Unfortunately Ghanaians have derailed from what is under discussion. We have not opened our minds wide to understand the substance of this case. Other nationals will read what is going on and laugh at our intelligence. What is happening is that the soil is dead: Even if we pick new players and train them to play for the BS, the pattern will continue because you can't plant a seed on a dead soil!
I have closed the docket!

"Why do you want Abedi to talk?" The Stallion stated."
Stallion, are you telling me that if the players in question were not Abedi's children, wouldn't he have offered solutions? Haven't you heard Abedi given solutions to problems that involved other players before? Why is he quite when he is needed most? Doesn't he have anything to say?
If what you indicated as his children may have ordered him to stay away from the issue, do you think it is a good idea for him to do so? Do you think that will benefit his children since he, the father, is aware of the effect of the media? A child is always a child when it comes to his parents. A child shouldn't say to his parents to stay away from his business. A spoiled child is a child who refuses to listen to his parents advice. Is that what these kids are saying to the father? What are they portraying then? This means the father can't control them and they expect the country to do the same. Mr. Stallion, please tell the Ayews that the country is not going to bow to them or to kiss their behind.
"Balotelli and Welbeck refused to play when it was clear that they almost agreed to play for us." The Stallion indicated.
Massa, where did you read that from? If you read it from Ghanasoccernet.com then you were fooled because that website is known for formulating stories. Both Balotelli and Welbeck picked their countries of preference before the GFA even approached them. These players made up their minds to play for the countries they are playing for now. Even Kevin Prince Boateng, if it was for the facts that his club was relegating to a second division league and he needed a better club to play for, he wouldn't have honored our invitation. The other reason he played for us was his place in the German national team was given to another. Remember, Kevin was a defensive midfielder from the German under 17 but wasn't an offensive midfielder. His position changed to an offensive midfielder during the U-20 WC qualifications. When they graduated from the u-21 national team heading to the regular national team, Joachim Löw, the newly Deutesche coach, picked Özil after 2006 WC over Kevin Boateng. His next option was to fight for his normal position which was the defensive mid. Unfortunately, that position was being played by then the captain, Micheal Balack whilst his back up was Bastian Schweinsteiger. The fans and the media questioned the Joachim but the coach stood by his decisions of picking Özil over Kevin. That was the last straw which broke the back of Boateng's camel. He couldn't take it anymore and decided to ignore the German National Team.
So you can see, Kevin played for us when it was convenient for him; thus, his quitting has nothing to do with the GFA. I know you may not believe it but I think Kevin planed the whole thing from the beginning to the end. He quit because he finally had what he wanted. Therefore leave GFA out of that.
"Unfortunately Ghanaians have derailed from what is under discussion." The Stallion said so.
Please Stallion, tell me what is under discussion for I'm dying to know. If the above statements of yours are what you insinuated may have been the cause of these player's character, then they have to come with something better to get my vote. Other than that, all I can say is they are acting like spoiled brats and it pains me so much because I have been supporting them for ages now. They really let me down.

Africanus, here is why I part-blame the father, Abedi. Answer me these questions. Have you asked your self why the father is quite about this case? Is it because the case is about his children? Haven't you read solutions given by Abedi before when cases involve other players or even GFA arrives? Can you count how many times he has offered solutions and advises? Why can't he offer one on this case? Is he ill, and therefore, can't come out to say anything? If he, the players' father, can't offer any advise to them, what possible solution do you think King Faisal President, Alhaji Karim Gruzah, could offer? Think about it.
You are talking about 18 and over year old children in America and Europe. I do agree with you on that point but don't forget also that we too have a culture. A respectful son at least doesn't tell his father to stay away from his affairs when one arises. For a reason Abedi can come out and say something about other players, even those older than his children, what stops him from doing the same to his children in this case? can you tell me why? I will be waiting for your reply.
"I think Abedi should stay out and let the GFA officials deal with it, that is what they are paid to do." Africanus made a point there.
Your point is valid; however, if he so chooses to stay away from this case, then he should as well stay away from any other case that me arise thereafter. Do you agree with me on that? Was GFA not paid for solving the stars problems previously before he was offering advises? Why does Abedi come in when things are not going well for the Black Stars then? Can you answer me on this one?
The man is one of the countries legend and his children are expected to be well behave. Being a public figure, these are some of the disadvantages. He is supposed to take both good and bad. Are you telling me Micheal Jordan's son will misbehave or will have disagreement with the NBA commissioner and the father wouldn't be questioned?
This makes me question Abedi's child raising ability. If his children wouldn't listen to him, then there is something wrong with how he nurtures his children. No one is perfect; I do agree that. Maybe that is the area Abedi falls short. It is okay but shouldn't come out to advise anyone when one's child is misbehaving.
Are these young players getting out of hands? Is what going on in private being introduced in public?
That is my point.

All these foreign based players are not serious and committed when they play for Ghana. When they play in the white man's leagues, they play with all their hearts and strengths, but when it is time to play hard and die for country Ghana they are nowhere to be found.
They act like a bunch of slaves, and this I can see. All of them who do not want to play for Ghana can go to hell. In a few years if not soon, they will be old and finished anyway so if they do not want to play, no problem, we have thousands of players in waiting. AFCON 2013 brought new discoveries - Dauda, Wakaso, Asante and co. Let's build on that.
Example, whenever Essien plays for Ghana there is no passion in his play but have you seen him when he played for Chelsea or in Spain. To hell with the Ayews, Essien, KPB and all those arrogant bastards. If they want to play for Ghana they can play, if not they should go to hell. They are professionals. When they go to tournaments and lose, they never get to make history and at the end, they will not be in the history books. Nothing to tell their children or brag about. This is about history making and legacy and not pettiness. How does Abedi Pele senior feel now without any WC participation or WC trophy. Life is too short to waste time on this type of nonsense, only in mother Ghana. They are not the only people who have legs and can kick a ball. AA - Take some hungry local players and train them very well. Look at Nigeria at 2013 Afcon. Look at Sunday MBa and co. Abedi sons were not the only players not called, how about the others not called. Respect Coach's decision and do not make it personal, Ayew boys. Ghana must learn and stop this foolishness of the foreign based players who don't play to their full potential when playing for Ghana and keep messing with our blood pressure. Truth be told is that they all have inferiority complex when playing for Ghana.
Coach AA - do not call anyone who is childish, immature, not passionate and not committed and not a team player.
Jordan Ayew - not a team player and plays very selfishly, never passes ball when he is supposed to, and Dede has oversized ego. I am totally disappointed in both of them. They can play for France if they want to. Ghana will win the WC one day, some day. Let's start building and stop this foolishness/insanity. Who cares at the end of day if these two fools don't play. At senior level, they still have long ways to go to be called indispensable. Please GFA do not beg anyone. This is never done. To play for nation is about PRIDE & HONOR and they can't pay you enough money for that. Nobody should beg anyone. After all, when they play in Ghana national jersey and colors, it is also good for their stability and position in their white man's teams/leagues in Europe. Nobody has all the answers. Be wise in all your doings. Ghana all the way to WC 2014.
Coach AA - Take only fit, hardworking and committed players.

People are racing to 1992 to blame Abedi for the captainship sage to explain the current empasse between his boys and AA. Truth is, nobody has been honest to admit that Abedi did not beg or threaten the GFA/Otto Pfister to make him captain in place of AA. Yes, he could have rejected it but did not. How is that Abedi's fault? If AA is peeved at Abedi, then he is the problem, not Abedi. Now you have an assumed peeved coach and another peeved GFA becuase government wanted to make Abedi president. What we guy here? Hate for Abedi who they cannot get to, except through penalizing his boys. Simple! All this garbage of a player disrespecting a coach is not new in team sports. After all, Mohammed Polo in his supposedly "old and experienced days" with Phobia refused to come off when being substituted. They are picking on the boys for nothing and AA is their instrument. All these overnight vulnerable champions of discipline are dancing to the tune of these faceless disciplinarians. I couldnt care less if the Ayews played for Ghana or not. But the whole approach was wrong. And you cannot tell me the GFA didnt see this coming when the coach says Jordan was cut for non-football reasons and Dede for not meeting a deadline even though Dede raised issues with the the coaches explanation. Did the FA proactively do anything to calm things? NO!! Now they reject retirement to want to do what? Look, if you ask my candid opinion, I will boldly tell you that the FA and Appiah secretly had intensions of cutting DEDE anyway, just to spite him or teach him a lesson, even if he had made it on time to Qatar or whatever.

What do you oexpect. Junk - in - junk -out. I supported the appointment of Kwasi Appiah when it was first announced. But, our performance at the just ended AFCON tournament has given me cause to rethink my support for the coach. Kwasi Appiah did not live up to expectation of many including me. I am not talking about our failure to win it all. His inefficiencies started showing with some of the players he selected. Some of us gave him the benefit of the doubt, but again some of his decisions about substitutions subdued our support for him. The final play of the tournament placed the last nail in the coffin. Why on earth he kept playing his starting line up in that game whilst some guys on the bench never saw action is arguable. What was going is anybody's guess. I am convinced that Kwasi Appiah lacks the required skills needed to manage the resources at his disposal to enable him meet the expectations of the office he holds. His handling of the Andre saga in Malawi was highly disappointing. He solved that issue in the public domain and that was a failure of leadership. The Ayews also chose the public arena to register their grievances with him and the entire GFA, and Ghana will be the loser. The black stars as it is composed now needs a good manager, not a coach. The weaknesses Kwasi Appiah has demonstrated makes him less qualified to manage the current black stars. The entire FA must be reshuffled to bring back the trust and respect of the foreign based players. I hope would not treat the grievances of Kevin Prince Boateng, Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan, and the Ayew brothers as one of those things. Those of you who were around during the early nineties saw a similar feud between the Yeboah and the Abedi factions of the black stars and how it all ended for mother Ghana. We need effective managers at the helm of Ghana football. Please think about these.

Lets talk of Pele,Mesi,Zedaan,Babayara,Robert Mensah,Osei kofi,Abdul Razak,Ahmed Polo,Rogger Miller to mention a few.All these were disciplined players who did not make gestures at the coaching bench when substituted of not called for particular seasons.
Let the blackstars be coached by a black coach.Kwasi Appiah should continue. It is time we respected and had faith in our abilities.Nigeria did not win with a foriegn coach. Also rely more local players as they are hungry to win contracts and there
will play their heart out.The coach also knows their strength and weaknesses since their all local based.

According to Appiah, Ayew apologised after the game but the technical staff felt it wasn't sincere enough so it was taken to the GFA who stupidly acted like dictators from ancient times telling (not asking) Ayew to render an apology nationally within 7 days. No Western European player will take this nonsense. He will rather NOT play. You think you can tell Balotelli this and you won't receive a slap? I won't be surprised if a player one day beats the coach or even the senseless GFA president. Ghanaians like the GFA president thinks the footballers are uneducated and illiterates so they can treat them in whatever way they like.
We live in 2013 and I will not like to be treated that way. Look at the top clubs in Europe and show me where any sensible management has asked a player to apologise nationally for getting angry when being substituted? You get people telling you there are many players willing to play. Are they as dedicated or as good as him? NO! It is good people like Osei Kuffour are going to convince him and his brother to change their minds. When Osei K4 was playing for Bayern or Roma would he have been happy to be far behind defenders in his position not to get a place in the national team? A top performer who played in top leagues and the best of competitions like Osei K4 would have protested. Such players can give the GFA a practical lesson in player management.

Jordan was drop because some greedy bustads at the GFA hates his swag. secondly, there is always 3 or 4 places in the team of 23 for fringe players who will be willing to give a percentage of their bonuses to those bustards at the FA. that is why Ghana has never presented its best team at major tournaments. kervin, essien and the ayews would all love to don the national shirt on any day, but the politics that goes into player selection for major tournaments has really got them thinking about their international future. aKwesi appiah is just an “android” who is being controlled by those greedy bastads at the FA

We have seen it all before. Abedi Ayew, the father of the two young men retired from the Black Stars a couple of times and each time had to be begged or persuaded back by parliamentarians.T.E.A.M. stands for Together Everybody Achieves Much and whenever this is the situation the entire team excels, winning matches and trophies. No matter how good they think yhey are we cannot afford to let them do to us what their dad did to the national team in the 1990s. He was the main reason their generation of Black Stars failed miserably though it abounded in many talented players. Franz Beckenbauer, the great German ex-player and national senior team coach once remarked that if he had Abedi Ayew and Anthony Yeboah in the German Squad he will win the World Cup.With a lot of very talented players including Abedi Ayew, Tony Baffoe, Tony Yeboah,Goalkeepers Edward Ansah, Salifu Ansah and Abukari Damba,Emmanuel Ampiah,Kwasi Appiah, Emmanuel Armah,Isaac Asare, Frimpong Manso, Stanley Abroah,Opoku Nti,Kofi Abbrey,Sarfo Gyamfi, Prince Opoku,Sam Johnson, etc. not only failed to win the 1992 edition of AFCON but our dream team under-performed and under-achieved and became the bungling and blundering Black Stars. Dede and Jordan cannot tie the shoe lace of any of these talented players so why are they putting on airs and acting like they're of the class of Messi and Ronaldo? Very significantly, both Messi and Ronaldo are very disciplined team players We can't afford to have a repeat of 1992 in Srnegal and thereafter. What would we have learned as a nation? Never again ! The GFA needs to investigate what's going on in the team but I'm quite confident that the Abedi Ayew boys have issues with discipline and perhaps as arrogant as their dad was in his playing days. The team is better off without their fledgling talents and bad attitudes.
