We have the Players to do the job if the Coach makes the right selection.

Get Konadu as head coach, and then shift Appiah and Abedi as assistanct coaches; Mix locals with international pros like Essien, Muntari, KPB. Less Africa-based players for the WCUP, and more more Africa-based players for the AFCON. This does not mean the cup will come to Ghana next time, but at least we give ourselves a damn good chance.

Personally, I think the letter is not necessary. A coach has to always consider several factors before deciding on who to include in the final selection from the best pack. What Jordan is downplaying is that even to be invited to play a 'justifier' means a lot and it is a 'huge' plus to his career as a footballer.
However, I understand where he (the brothers) are coming from. They are peeved. Their anger is actually inflamed by insensitive comments about the coach at one point and about the Ayew brothers at another. Ghanaian football media 'commentatators' have really big mouths. Even when they are experessing their opinions about issues they present them as if they are the truths! They have succeeded in creating the impression that Coach Appiah hates Abedi's sons! And I believe the letters the Ayew brothers tended in clearly show that they have 'fallen for that trap' that Coach Appiah hates them. It is as if Coach Appiah is using his influence to punish the Ayew brothers for something that happened in the past - (he had lost he captainship to Abedi under a rather bizzare conditions).
I personally believe that Appiah is not vindictive. I therefore suggest that Coach Appiah moves swiftly to contact the boys and to impress upon them to rescind their decision. Indeed, if the relationship between him and Abedi is cordial he can involve him in the process. I'm suggesting this not because the Ayew brothers are 'untouchables' who have to be selected to play at all cost. No. It is because I believe Coach Appiah has learned a lot from the AFCON experience and that in selecting a team for the World Cup he is considering a 'different set of inclusion criteria'. We all know that the Ayew brothers are still among the best in the country and it will be unfortunate their services are not utilized.
