Kokroko, i respecthis decision but we all know if Teams lose we call for the head of the Coach, if Kwesi Appiah is not repected for his decisions there will be no moral let see him through first. If we side with Andre then it means anyone at all can quit BlackStars but it should be Country first above all. If he so love his country he will not quit, to me this is disrespecting the coach. Would he had done this if it were for Claude le Roy or those previous Coaches. My Guess is no so why this action Andre, did your father instigate this? He was a good talent and we all know that but we also no he can be arrogant. Well i rest my case i want the team to regroup for world cup or we will turn up and disgrace ourselves.

WE DON'T NEED A REPEAT OF THIS SABOTAGE AGAIN AT THIS TIME, ELSE WE ARE COWARDS. WE NEED A PRESIDENTIAL DECREE PUTTING A DEFINITE STOP TO A FURTHER CALL TO THE BLACK STARS OF MICHAEL ESSIEN, KELVIN PRINCE BOATENG, ANDRE AYEW AND JORDAN AYEW, AND ANY OTHER BLACK STAR PLAYER WHO WANTS TO QUIT. IF THIS IS DONE, LOCAL COACH AKWASI APPIAH AND THE TECHNICAL TEAM WILL CONCENTRATE ON THE WILLING, AVAILABLE, PATRIOTIC AND CIVILIZED GHANAIAN PLAYERS. GOOD-BYE, retire permanently because we will not sack the management and replace them with who you like. This is why Ghana is not making any progress because every individula including office messengers want laws that caters to their personal whims and caprices instead of working with the system. Some of us don't like our managers and Supervisors at our jobs but we cannot ask for their dismissals before we will go to work. Each of us regardless of what we do in life contribute something to society and if the Ayews cannot work with management, then they can move on.
Can Dede and Jordan say the same thing at Marselleis? They respect their French team and will work with the worst management but will turn around and talk crap about Ghana.
Why temporary resignation? This is a ploy by the Ayews to get the Coach fired and that is what they were waiting for but when GFA retained the Coach, they have come up with this nonsense of resignation. I hope they are allowed to stay resigned without anybody begging them. We need discipline in Blackstars and GFA should not cede its authority to the Ayews to determine who the Coach is. We have the Players to do the job if the Coach makes the right selection.
Messi, Falcao and the great Players don't determine for their country who they will play for. Let them go.

If i was a player i would have difficulty respecting that guy as my coach because he is technically inept.
He studied under 2 different coaches and went to major tournaments yet he learnt nothing. This AFCON performance was really awful, you could never see what our gameplan was and the coach should take the blame for it.
He said he wanted to take only fit players so how come he came back saying some players hid their injuries? Is the medical team so inept? Why then were they insisting on checking out Dede before? Would they have been able to see anything if he hadnt told them?

I saw this coming. The GFA management is inept and incapable of doing the right thing. These players have every right to put their self interest first...afterall that's what the current GFA is capable of doing. Anyone criticizing and calling them unpatriotic and what not, should take a good look in the mirror and ask themselves what they have done for the country lately. The issue is not the players....but rather corrupt and bureaucratic bunch of egostistical organization. Let's look at current situation, micheal essein, the ayew brothers, kPB and possibly other players are unhappy with the management. And yet, some of the fans have the audacity to criticize them even though the problem is quite obvious. Ato, I share your view...fire kwesi appiah and the rest of his unfit personels. The last time I checked Ghana was a free country where people can make their own decision even if its not popular.

I was all for instituting discipline in the team, but then you the coach only command the respect of your players if you show you know what you're about, and clearly he didn't know his left from his right at AFCON.
Taking defenders to a tournament and yet using a creative midfielder to play in defence at the least chance shows you are either dumb or inept.
God forbid, but i think we'll struggle to qualify for the World Cup under Akwasi Appiah, and even if we qualify we will just go disgrace ourselves if he continues this way.

Seriously! seriously!!
Who are these players who think they are above the Republic of Ghana? Are these little players given the whole country an ultimatum?
Yes, we are aware that their father took the same rout during his playing days. However, what good thing resulted from such a decision? It didn't help the country to win anything. Even then, we had great players and because of such attitude from their father, the country couldn't win anything and that has been following this country till now. All those talents we had during that era were wasted because of selfish decisions like those. Finally, the team was divide and was jacked up.
Is this what these boys want to do? Is this what the country want? Why do we have to go through this again?
GFA needs to wake up for these decisions form these young players wouldn't help us as a whole.
This is my input in this whole issue. If these two Ayews want to take a break, allow them to do so. They can't take the whole country for ransom. With or without them, the country will move on. When they are ready to come back, they shouldn't be allowed to put on that blessed red, gold, and green jersey until first, they have apologized to the country, second, until they have sat for the same amount of month or years they took off in doubled. Here is what I'm saying. If for example, they took 6 months off, the day their letters are reported to be included in the team, who ever coach would be the handler or the coach of the Black Stars, whether that coach is a local coach or a foreign coach, that person shouldn't allowed these two players to play until they have sat for 12 months. In this way, by the time they return to the team, it would be 18 months of absence for the team. They took 6 months from the team for their own crazy reasons. Therefore, the country should add another 12 months to what they already took. They want to take off right? Good, let the country give them their own medicine to drink. Give them a long break for them to think.
Is this how the other countries' players behave after they have been disciplined or after they were not called due to their owned foolishness?
Why are we crying over their exclusions from the team anyway? Yes, we will miss them for the fact that they are one of us and have decided to stay isolated. On the other hand, if that is the direction they want to take, so bit it. A good response or reply should be sent to them regarding the consequences of taken a break. You take 1 year break and decide to come back after that, GFA should give you 2 extra year break on top of the 1 year before inviting you to the fold of the team. When this example is set, I believe none of the players will have the nerve to take any break again.
As a citizen of the country, when you are called to honor the duties of the country, it is classified as privilege. Eric Cantona, due to his lack of discipline during his playing days, refused to play for his country, France. My question is, did France cried over that? No. Even with his absence, France won the 1998 WC Cup when they beat Brazil of all football nation 3-0 in the finals.
GFA should step up in their disciplinary actions to set things straight.

The core of the problem is the Black Star management team. We were all behind these 90s nonsense when in 2008 Gyan packed his bags with his brother because the fans have been insulting him the President of Ghana had to visit him and asked him to change his mind. A coach for whatever reason refused to call a player GFA President wanted that player back KPB. Richard Kingston wanted to beat a fan said he was quitting GFA beg him to stay. Essien took time off came back on his own terms took off again and the coach and GFA says give him time. Gyan once again took off coach asked him to come back and get rewarded with captain band. A manager should not pick and chose set the same rules for everyone try to meet everyone at their need. Stephen Appiah rightly said that the core of the Black Star problems lay at the feet of the management and if we do not address the issues the very very best coach would not take us anywhere. Look everywhere in our football everything is breaking down the KN GFA had made only the Black Star their core business and do not care about anything. Let face KN has so many thing in his plate it about time he step down as the Chairman of the Black Management let someone like Tony Baffour take over. My understanding is that Pappoe the mastermind behind the 2 world cup appearance has vow to stay away from the Black Star because of KN.

If you can reward Gyan after his time off from the team, beg Essien and Kevin to return, then these guys can also use the same tool to earn their respect in the team. GFA has set a bad precedence for the team and unless they change their favoritism all the ensuing players will follow suit. First of all, GFA must be quickly revamped and strict rules must be enacted to rid this pompousness. Let's face it, Ghana will not win the world cup in 2014 even if we qualify so we should focus on rebuilding the team from scratch by choosing the right people to manage GFA, a formidable coach and willing and able playing body. We should set a schedule for ourselves that with this team we are going to win it all by such and such date and train for the up-coming events. For, we will never win a trophy with hastiness or without planning.

It takes good team work & dedication to win in any team sport. No one player is indispensable in any team. Great teams pull together as a unit, instead of looking to one or 2 players to carry them on their backs. Lack of discipline scuttles teams. Players have the right to pull out of teams, but they don't have the right to dictate to the team management. I'm surprised that with Ghana's population, GFA is unable to put together a solid squad of local, but dedicated players to represent Ghana & the BlackStars. Professional players like the Ayews, etc more likely have had their financial needs met; they are now only interested in meeting the needs of their egos.

How many times did Abedi Ayew make the decision to quit playing for the Black Stars in the 1980s and the Ghana Parliament went after him to beg him to rescind his decision? Ghanaians were critical of Abedi because it was generally believed he brought disunity into the team after gaining the captaincy by sleight of hand. During matches, he elected himself the taker of every set piece and vigorously sought to be the receiver of every pass. When the balance between playing every role on the field and actual match results is disproportionate then it is believed you're overreaching yourself or as we say, being selfish. The team cosecutively failed to win honors and ghanaians did not spare Abedi their usual sharp tongue, citing his selfishness as the cause. Abedi also always reacted by quitting the team thereby causing the august house to abandon their legislative duties to bring him back to the team.
Abedi Ayew has blazed the trail for his sons to follow. In his european club assignments he excelled in his assigned roles but wanted to run the show whenever he wore the national colors. It's deja vu all over again. We failed miserably with arguably the best BS team ever assembled and if we allow it these Abedi sons they will ruin our team building efforts. It'd be better to do without their services than allow them to stay and ruin the entire team like their father did.

I think that the coach knows much that we do not know. He can see who is committed and who is not so he has implemented a system where no one can feel entitled to a position. This is good. If the Ayews do not want to play ...

Adomah, Yiadom, Derek and co were all "better players" than Dede and Jordan hence our decision to use the Ayew brothers during the qualifiers, only to drop them when it came to the real tournament. ONLY A FOOL WILL DO THIS.
Seriously! seriously!!
