There is no need for any blame-shifting here. In the first place, it was the blind GFA that appointed a skilful spectator, Kwesi Appiah, as a coach and shamelessly confirmed him again as the coach.Throughout the AFCON 2013, we conceded all our goals through a weak side which this technically blind coach never saw. Some of us have already withdrawn out support for any Kwesi Appiah coached stars. This is a big disgrace to GFA and Ghana football.

Foolishness at highest level the above statement makes my blood goes up and start boiling Why do you JYI? To win matches is not based only commitment there something called fitness and skillfulness. Kwesi Nyantakyi is lawyer can he look into the eyes for his client and tell him or her that. The client would get him disbar.

I doubt he ever said that? Appiah some where along the line during camp period said "he was very excited about how things were going on in camp and the way each player was commited to give up his best" What changed after playing 2 matches? There were a lot of tactical errors which need to be corrected. I still say Appiah should be kept but to be going about, granting interviews such as this to the media is so annoying, Nyantakyi. We need to lay down some fitness level for oou players of which if you can't meet, you don't belong to a tournament such as this. It showed in every match we played. Our players fell at the slightest push or body contact. We need men for war not women.

I have always maintained that so long as this face blaching boy called asamoah gyan continues to be our lead striker we will never get anywhere.
What is the problem with these coaches when it comes to choosing a good striker? Gyan simply does not have anything of a striker; he is very slow; runs sluggishly, always dipping his head to take in oxygen (very laughable) when he should be using his arms and legs to gather momentum; he shoots 9/10 from his right foot when it could be easier to score with the left...I can go on and on for the whole day! This boy is the worst liability we have ever had in our football history, yet you find some ignorant Ghanaians on his payroll arguing on his behalf why he should be justified. Their reason? Hmmm, he is the top scorer in some arab league where the fastest player on the pitch runs a 100m sprint in 24 seconds. I am almost 50 years old but I can bet you that in my routine of sprints gyan will not come anywhere near my 14 seconds for the 100 meters, and I have not asked to be included in the black starts. Wake up mother Ghana! bring in young kids and re-build!

These young players we paraded have individual skills but struggled because they are not used to the style of their own team mates.

Safa have suspended their president and four other top officials in the wake of a report into a pre-World Cup match-fixing scandal.
Safa president Kirsten Nematandani and four staff members, including the organisation’s newly promoted chief executive officer Dennis Mumble, have been suspended from duty following the fixing of the results of four warm-up matches that South Africa played in preparation for the 2010 World Cup.
A Fifa investigation into the activity of convicted Singapore match fixer Wilson Perumal Raj and his Football 4U organisation fingered the five South African officials, a press briefing was told.
The results of matches against Thailand, Bulgaria, Colombia and Guatemala in the weeks leading up the 2010 World Cup were found to have been pre-arranged to benefit an Asian betting syndicate.
Safa has apologised to Fifa, and undertaken urgent and serious action to deal with the matter.
Safa said a commission of enquiry will be set up “as a matter of urgency”, and Nematandani will appear before the commission to explain his role in the matter.
“Having considered the implications of this for Safa, the [Safa emergency] committee asked the president to take a voluntary leave of absence from his position.”
Vice-president Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana has been asked to act as president in the interim.
Additionally, all members of staff mentioned in the report who will need to give evidence at the commission and are likewise put on special administrative leave.
The members of staff so affected are Mumble, Lindile ‘Ace’ Kika, Adeel Carelse and Barney Kujane.
Former CEO Lesley Sedibe and the former head of referees Steve Goddard will also be asked to give evidence and cooperate with the enquiry.
Pinky Lehoko has been appointed acting CEO in the interim.
Nonkonyana said: “This is a difficult situation for the association, and for those who have been named in the report.
“We hope that there will be no speculation about their presumed guilt or otherwise. We need to allow the investigation to take place speedily and fairly, so those that are innocent can be separated from those who are not.”

Coach Kwasi Appiah should admit his failures. I watched each game Black Stars played at South Africa. It is obvious to me that the Coach failed to make tactical changes and right placement of players.
Kwadwo Asamoah is proven effective midfield player with Juventus. Why should coach Appiah made him played defense? K. Asamoah who is a man of all the field was stuck in defense; ineffective and was missing in action.
It was obvious that Gyan did his best. But his best was not enough. Because he was a lone striker who was double teamed by oponents in all games we played. The answer to that was that, the Coach should have fielded 3 strikers per each game. This means opponents can double team Gyan and consequently create space for other strikers to maneuvre. Coach Appiah called only 3 strikers to the Black Stars and relied solely on a lone striker tactic. Failure.
Gyan should have been changed during games when he seemed wrapped by opponents. Yet Coach Appiah could not read the game and allowed Gyan to continue ineffectively.
During our game with Bourkina, it became obvious to me, mind you, I am not a coach. But I realised that the game was heading into penalty shoot outs. Rather, Coach Appiah changed Wakaso and kept Gyan who made it known that he was not going to play part of any penalty shoot outs; unless it became a must.
With all said above, Coach Appiah should have himself and the technical team to blame for inability to read the game and made effective selection.
Finally, Ghana Black Stars lack forceful clinical strikers. We need 5 strikers in the team. And must play 4 strikers per game. But Black Stars team only consisted 3 strikers and rely on lone striker strategy; hence, goal scoring has been a problem for Ghana.

Tribalism in the GFA will not allow the GFA to be de-tribalised to enable Ghana's football to progress and prosper.Kwesi Nyantekye an Ashanti man appointed Kwesi Appiah another unqualified Ashanti man to coache the Black Stars. While people like Silas Tetteh,Abedi Pele and co are available to be given the opportunity to handle the Black Stars.Appiah went to experiment some inexperience player only to turn round to blame the players he himself selected. Please Kwasi Nyantekye and Kwasi Appiah should be buted out for causing financial lost to the state.
A committe should be set up by the Government to investigate Nyatekye and Kwesi Appiah.Coache Silas Tetteh and other Ghanaian Coaches should be inviteded with immediate effect for screening and selection based on qualification and experience and not based on tribalism.Kwasi Appiah is not the only coache in Ghana. There are better good coaches in Ghana.Appiah was given a chance to perform but formbelles.Opportunity should be given to other good Ghanaian coache. If the GFA does not consider my advice, then it means there are Ashanti mafias who want to distroy Ghana football on the platter of tribalism.

NIGERIA TO WIN AFCON CUP SEVEN TIMES!!!
Nigeria will keep the AFCON Cup for a very very long time before Ghana ever think of smelling it. With or without your 'juju' we shall keep the CUP with the power of Holy Ghost on our side, and Jesus Christ, our "keeper" shall 'KEEP' the AFCON CUP for us, for a very very long time.
(AFCON CUP TO BE JOINED BY "WORLD CUP" very soon). 'Super Eagles' of Nigeria, shall soon become "World Champions" very soon in Jesus mighty name, Amen. (It is settled in heaven). I really mean business, and with very 'POWERFUL PRAYERS' for the 'SUPER EAGLES' of Nigeria, and the real Jesus Christ of Nazareth on our side, VICTORY IS OURS. This is no joke! No weapon, (like 'Ghana JUJU'), fashion against us shall prosper. Ameeeeeeeeeeeeeeen.
Therefore, you Ghana people should stop dreaming of laying your hands on that Cup for a very very LOOOOONG TIME. All of you Naija HATERS can go to HELL.
I AM YOUR NEMESIS.

Did we all agree whether or not mistakes were made?

Has MRAA owned up his own portion of these mistakes?
Ans:
Yes, he did.
How about the rest of the management team. Have they accepted they're mistake prone?
Ans:
The crew have admitted errors.
How about the individual players and their commitment level?
Ans:
Kind of hard to tell.
Here is one:
MRAA made one too many mistakes that are likely, OOPS! could cost him, my bad!, going to haunt him all through his life as the GBS coach.
Am not going to enumerate them until another chance at the topic.
The only consolation is that, the key to any condition of lack is mental principle. In that poverty is not corrected by a distribution of wealth, but by ideas.
You can give man begging for food/dollar, but before that day is out he would be hungry again.
Unless there is a change in consciousness, unless all parties awaken to wealth's true nature and get in tune with infinite supply of ideas, nothing will change.
Now that the MRAA's constitutional law is given a 'refresh' mandate by the powers that be, we should, OOPS!, it is incumbent on us to make sure he succeeds.
After all, its players that win games. The coach is only the instrument through which these 'win games' are orchestrated or expressed.
i.e. begging chances that are wasted, failure to man and unmanned of set pieces, position changes by players on the spur of the moment, etc. etc.
There is little or nothing a coach can do unless the 'island is surrounded by water'. Haaaa
Players can go a long way without a coach but coaches cannot thrive without players.
I stand accused.

The problem was not player commitment. The coach and technical team should be looking as themselves rather than player commitment. The only thing that was right with the team was the goal keeping. The defense, midfield and defense were all bad. The coaching was way below par as well. The team was simply overrated. The players did their best. It was just that the team was not skilful and tactical enough. I think the right coaching can raise the skill level of the midfield because of the talent of Astu, Ayew, Wakaso, Badu and K. Asamoah. The defence and offence need a complete overhaul. I think there should be a few better strikers than Gyan. If Gyan is the best striker in Ghana, then Ghana would be better off playing without a striker, as Spain.

It is absurd to continue to blame the players for the woeful standard of play at South Africa 2013. The coach took to South Africa players that represented his mind. Kwesi Appiah cannot read games. He never read games as a player. He pitched wrong players are the right positions. He was bereft of ideas. I have never seen the Black Stars perform so woefully. Even against Niger we were under pressure. Little Cape Verde gave all of heart ache. Then Burkina Faso bullied the boys because the coach put on the field children. In modern football a defender must play any position in the defence. Jonathan Mensah and Jerry Akaminko should be able to play anywhere in the defence. The bench was awfully represented. If there is going to be a massive clear out it must start with the technical team. The technical team must include people like Mohammed Polo, Appiah, and Selas Tetteh. The GFA has vowed to back Kwesi Appiah. Kwesi Appiah is leading Ghana nowhere with his brand of 70s football. Let us see what happens. Th

Ghanaians, we are deceiving ourselves. Why do we always over-rely on foreign players? Why can't we improve on our local league? Please as long as we depend extensively on foreign based players, please forget about any meaningful impact in competitive matches.
The remains that when they are injured, it's their foreign teams that take care of them. Do you expect them to kill themselves when you call them on national assignments? There is nothing like patriotism in our country today. Please don't be sentimental about this. Look around you and give me an example of any Ghanaian in political office who leads by example. You want the foreign based players to kill themselves? Please let's think well. I weep for the future of Nkrumah's Ghana.
Finally, when we get the leadership question right, the youth will make things happen in our country. As at present, we have leaders who are only eating tomorrow's yam.

Management of the Black Stars needs to answer the following questions:
How did Dauda suddenly became better than Kwarasay?
Could any home based player have the experience of major tournaments so as to be better than players like the Ayews?
Most international sides, especially those in Africa, would move heaven and earth to get the Ayews, who play for a reputable French club in their team. Why were these kids not good enough for Ghana to merit all the necessary efforts needed to get them on board?
Management messed up big time. Explain to Ghanaians why the clear-out shouldn’t start with management?

Now that the dust has settled, and the Black Stars failed to deliver as promised, the GFA and its coaches are trying to find scape goats...and they are aplenty-some players...
That is why i have always said that players are forced into the national team very early...no doubt, the young players are good but the black stars is not where they belong now...they belong to Black Satellites (u-21) or Black Meteors (U-23)...they should graduate from there before they play in the senior national team...all those under-21 players who won the under-21 world cup( ayew, agyeman badu, inkoom, etc) did well when the former serbian coach recruited them into the black stars...the problem with GFA and Coach Appiah was that they took it upon themselves to build a new team while we had a team already...what was needed was to fortify the team, that is, bring in few players to strengthen the team and not to overhaul the team and bring in 10 new and untested players...and the argument that players must feature regularly in their various teams and be "fit" (a la ayew) before they are invited does not hold water because the teams we struggled to beat (Cape Verde) or couldnt beat (B Faso)used players from second/third division teams in europe...and some from even vietnam and india!...can you believe it?...at times fielding a player who has the potential (like adiyah), and you have confidence in can help the player secure a better contract if he performs well at a tournament (a la prince boateng)...and so for coach appiah to drop the ayews for the kind of reasons he gave was not called for...if he has a personal vendetta against their father, he should not vent it to the children...another problem with ghana football is that players leave the local league too early to join overseas teams thereby weakening our local leagues...this is the reason our teams dont do well in african club championships these days...players who wish to ply their trade outside ghana should should play in the local league for at least three years before they are issued their transfers...some players go out of ghana without playing in the ghana league...some will argue that they have the right to play anywhere or earn money but that should not be at the detriment of the overall development of ghana football...and so the problem is at the top and not the bottom

During his prime time he knew the regular 23 man squad of his play mates in the Black Star. It`s also better to hear from Mr Nyantakyi comparing friendly matches to a tournaments also you don`t assess the level of your players during tournament. Black Star didn`t go to SA for a try matches that was a tournament to win a championship, Mr man. These Guys required some qualities in them to run this institution successfully.

Simply pointing the finger at players is simplistic and shallow analysis of how to mitigate failure and create success when Black Stars step out to play. There should be careful scrutiny of administration, coaching and technical staff, recruitment and grooming of players, team morale and leadership, tactics, strategy, player health, supporter behaviours, political and economic support etc. If you want to build and win, be prepared to scrutinize in a comprehensive and progressive fashion. In Ghana, we have the raw talent. What we need is how to discover the right ones, have a clear strategic plan and follow it patiently and steadfastly. We should have a think tank comprising veteran and present day leaders in our game - administrators, coaches and former legends. They can help deliver what Ghana is able to achieve - to be the first African nation to bring the FIFA world cup to our villages and cities.

The nation gave the coach a job to perform and I'm not sure our expectation was a must win at the very first attempt.Rome was not built in a day. It takes a lot of patience, wisdom, vision, discipline, dedication and raw talent to rebuild a team into championship stuff and winning mode. As a nation endowed with enormous human and natural resources and the potential to succeed, how many times have we fired our incompetent Presidents, their cronies, partners in crime and their political parties for mediocrity, ineptitude and blatant disregard to fulfill campaign promises and turn this nation around? None, as far as I can remember. Why are people giving coach Appiah such a hard time as if he had 15 players of the likes of Messi and Ronaldo in his team and yet failed to deliver with a high pedigree team? Nigeria showed faith in Stephen Keshi, a son of the land when he flopped in his first outing with the Super Eagles. They allowed him to manage the team as he seemed fit and today consistency and hard work has paid off for the Nigerians. If incompetent presidents with all the resources to succeed who fail deserve a second chance why not Coach Appiah with limited resources? Please hands off the coach. The results he achieved are commensurable with the resources at his disposal, everything considered. Give him more time and support and he will achieve the results we are hungering and thirsting for.

1. You cannot get anywhere by primarily experimenting with local materials - even Brazil does not do that.
2. If players play only one or two matches and rest, it means they lose motivation which should come from the coach.
3. The coach should also find a means to be effective with players with international experience. They listen to world class coaches, they may have attitude which sometimes comes with talent, and they are already accomplished. What does a coach say and do to get the most out of them rather than avoid them?
It should all be about team and country - starting from the top!

Coach you make irrational decision during games. Good coaches prepare for their opponents. Game plan means nothing when a coach can not counteract his opponents at a game.
Ghanaians generally play soccer with passion. We play to let the world know that we love and know the game. Ghanaians don,t get physical when we play the game. But we learn to be physical when our opponent does not care about the game. Accurate long shots and penalties are killing the black stars.
When was the last time a goal was scored from a corner kick?. We lack the height to jump up for the balls. Consequently, the defenders get to the ball before our strikers. No contact sport is easy to win. Physical physical all the way till you score.

ERH Nyantekyi you have to becareful you don't play games with our hearts and stop blaming the people who are rather on the battle field waging the war. you should always be motivating them propping them up in public and dealing with the problematic ones on individual basis. this way of addressing the issue will not help the spirit of our players. who are those problematic ones you are even talking about? the player body only need good technical team who can professionally manage the "ego-fight" like the case of the Ayew brothers and they also need professional direction. I don't see the current leadership offering that well.
