I am a Kotoko supporter but will always remember Adolf Armageddon as one of the best midfielders that ever played. I was wondering what happened to him since I left Ghana early in the Eighties to the States and did not follow soccer for years.
Adolf, you and your Hearts teammates, Polo, Robert Hammond, Hesse Odametten, Anastasia Seidu and other thrilled soccer fans and gave a very good Kotoko team some problems.
I had a chance of talking to former Kotoko great, Agyeman Prempeh and asked him who he thought was the best Player in the mid Seventies to early eighties when he played and he did not hestitate to say it was Robert Hammond and you as second when I thought it was either Polo or KOFI BadU of Kotoko. Thanks for the great memories, you and Kyenkyenhene in my estimation are the best midfielders that ever played for Ghana.

Eeeeei! OBLATSE; How are you? Some of the fans used to call you "COUNTERFEIT/DUPLICATE" Polo. You might not be aware of that, but it was coined by a Kotoko friend of mine, who Itook to Accra Stadium in 1977 to watch miracle games. He had heard of, but had not seen Polo before. He mistook you to be Polo in the first 20 mins until the Magician rose up with something very AWESOME in the 21st, and he yelled with EUREKA surprise "YIE,this is rather the Polo man, the other man is COUNTERFEIT " His wierd action attracted the attention of other fans around us. Anyway you are one of the best,I hope you have sons who you have handed over the genetic factor to. We can't wait to see them on the GREEN TURF, both you and Polo.

He captained the Black Stars in the final qualifying game against Zaire now DRC.Their team was led by the famous Mayele Ayele. Ghana drew 2-2 with them in Accra and won 2-1 in Kinshasa, all 2 goals were through young Abedi Pele's assists to George Alhassan.
Soon afterwards Dr Hilla Limann's government withdrew Ghana's participation because of Western pressure on Ghadaffi. It was restored two weeks before the tournament began, when Rawlings' PNDC too over power on December 31st 1981. Ghana had only 2 weeks to prepare, yet won the tournament.

History is not being fair to Osei Kofi AND ROBERT MENSAH. Thank God that I have lived till this day after witnessing all our stars play. I HAVE TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO ONE LIKE OSEI KOFI AND ROBERT MENSAH, THE MAN THE NIGERIANS CALLED "THE MAN WITH 3 OR 4 LEGS" CHANIANS CALLED HIM THE "WIZARD DRIBBLER" IF YOU MEET OTHER AFRICANS WHO WITNESSED GHANA SOCCER AT THAT TIME, THOSE ARE THE MEN THEY REMEMBER, THOSE ARE THE NAMES THEY KNOW, OSEI KOFI AND ROBERT MENSAH. THEY WERE LIKE HURRICANE THAT SWEPT ACROSS THE AFRICAN CONTINENT, THEY ARE THE TWO MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYERS THAT EVER PLAYED FOR THE BLACK STARS.
