Officials of the Coalition of Supporters Unions of Africa, COSUA, were among a team of Match/FIFA Officials who embarked on a tour of the 94,000-Seater, Soccer City Stadium this morning. The Stadium, located on the outskirts of South Africa's popular township of Soweto, is the flagship of South Africa's hosting of the upcoming 2010 World Cup, and it is poised to host the Opening game between South Africa and Mexico, one Semi-final and the Final game, as well as several very crucial African games like Ghana v. Germany etc.

The tour was organized by Match Hospitality, official FIFA Ticketing and Hospitality agents for the 2010 World Cup and it was primarily planned to afford COSUA and other 2010 stakeholders the opportunity to take a first-hand inspection of the Soccer City showpiece.

COSUA's Founding President, Advocate Sarfo Abebrese was accompanied by the Director of Operations in Charge of Southern Africa, Mr. Daniel Mundea (Zambia), and P.R. Director, Captain Cheryl Engelbretch of South Africa, on the tour.

The President expressed satisfaction after the tour, saying, " we cannot wait for the once-in-a-lifetime of experience of sitting through the opening ceremony of the the 2010 World Cup in that magnificent stadium".

One Thousand V.I.P Hospitality Tickets have been reserved for COSUA members for the opening game between South Africa and Mexico on 11th July 2010 at the same Soccer City Stadium, as part of the over 20,000 tickets allocated to COSUA for all the games African teams will play throughout the World Cup.
