romasidor Limited to support Volta Region Unity Games

Ho, (V/R) May 18, GNA - Promasidor Ghana Limited is to support Table Tennis and Volleyball events of the Volta Regional Unity Games scheduled to take place at the Anloga Senior High School in July this year.

Participants at the Regional Unity Games will engage in disciplines such as Handball, Volleyball, Athletics, Juvenile Soccer (U-15) and Table Tennis spanning from from 10th-14th July. The boost from the producers of Miksi Milk followed a meeting held between Gabriel Yao Missodey, the Volta Regional Director of Sports and Mr Israel Normyigbey, Marketing Manager of Promasidor Ghana Limited. Mr Normyigbey said it is the decision of supporting the two events to ensure that the two sporting disciplines receive the needed attention and necessary exposure offered to the participants to excel.

He said it is the hope of Promasidor that the Table Tennis and Volleyball teams will excel at the forth-coming Games which is aimed at selecting a team to represent the region in this year's National Unity Games scheduled to take place in Accra from17th-27th July. Mr Missodey expressed his gratitude to Promasidor for their kind gesture and said it is the wish of the Regional Sports Council that the support will go a long way in assisting the sportsmen and women to excel in their various events. He said it is the wish of the Regional Sports authority that a good relationship would be established between the two bodies to develop sports in the Volta Region and called on other corporate bodies to support especially the lesser known sports to develop.
