Kotoko pursue JoeTex, Lamptey & Yahaya

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed their pursuit of three top stars, Joetex Frimpong, Odartey Lamptey and Mallam Yahaya.

The Porcupine Warriors say they are in talks with all three players and hope to conclude negotiations latest by the end of next week.

Speaking to Joy Sports, a member of Kotoko?s Interim Management team, Jarvis Preprah says Kotoko is indeed bent on bolstering the team up with the signing of the trio.

Meanwhile newspaper reports indicate that the Porcupine Warriors have concluded negotiations with Odartey Lamptey.

Odartey has reportedly signed a contract with the Porcupine Warriors which could keep him bound to the Kumasi based club till the 2008 soccer season.

The offensive midfielder is reportedly keen on winding down an illustrious playing career with the Porcupine Warriors.

Kotoko are also said to be interested in signing Ghanaian born Enyimba striker Joetex Frimpong one a one year loan deal from the Nigerian outfit.

Ex-Black Stars player Mallam Yahaya recently released by German side Freiberg also hopes to re-launch his European career with a short stint in Kotoko.

Odartey and Mallam Yahaya are expected to train with Kotoko today.
