Abass Inusah in hospital in South Africa

Supersport United defender Abass Inusah is expected to be out of action for the rest of the season.

The 23-year old from Ghana collided with the Hellenic goalkeeper during the Absa Cup match at Caledonian Stadium on Saturday.

Inusah injured his neck and was replaced by Siboniso Gaxa.

?The Doctor has confirmed that Abass?s injury is very serious and is currently receiving medical treatment at a private hospital,? coach Pitso Mosimane disclosed.

?He will be out for at least two months meaning that he will not take part in the remaining fixtures. It is really a big blow for us as he was rock solid for our team in the heart of the defence,? he added.

The defenders previous clubs are Real Sportive, Asante Kotoko and King Faisal Babes. He has represented Ghana at U-23 and U-20 levels, his contract at United falls due in July 2007.
