Kotoko's German coach eyes Confederations Cup final

The German coach of Ghananian outfit, Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko, , Hans Diefer Schmidt, has declared that his side has a better chance of playing in the finals of the Confederations Cup.

Speaking after his side fell 1-2 to Nigeria's Enugu Rangers International, on Saturday, Hans Diefer Schmidt said : "We will go home and defeat Al-Hilal to book a final slot. Our chances are very good."

Asked to comment about the Petro Athletico/Rangers tie in Luanda, which would be played two weeks from now, he replied: "Rangers are good, but they cannot win in Luanda."

The German admitted that the Nigerians were a good side describing the match as "a match between two great African sides."

Both matches on the final day of the group stage would hold simultaneously in Kumasi and Luanda.

Rangers walloped Petro 4-0 in Enugu, while Kotoko lost 0-2 in Khartoum in the first round.
