Appiah expects tough contest between Hearts & Kotoko in Ghana@60 match

Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah is expecting a crunchy tie in Ghana’s 60th anniversary match between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

The two teams clash for the second time this year at the Accra Sports Stadium to renew their rivalry, this time to celebration the 60th Independence Day celebration.

Hearts of Oak defeated their sworn rivals in a League match at the same venue last month.

Kwesi Appiah who will be featuring in a curtain-raiser for Kotoko’s oldies against the Hearts of Oak oldies anticipates a competitive game from the two teams.

“Kotoko and Hearts games are always exciting to watch, the bragging right is always at stake so therefore I am expecting a good game from the two teams,” he told the media.

“I am looking forward to a very competitive match despite it being a friendly match.”

Winner of the two-legged affair will also be rewarded with an additional cash prize of GHC50,000 by the Ghana@60 committee.
