Asantehene receive sports kits for Kotoko

Kumasi, Jan 29, GNA - A Ghanaian based in the United States of America, Dr Berko Boateng on Wednesday presented sets of sports kits to Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club through the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at a ceremony at the Manhyia Palace.

The kits were made up of 24 pairs of high quality jerseys and shorts and 18 pairs of socks.

Making the presentation, Dr Boateng said he was also arranging to have Kotoko play some international friendly matches in the US. He called for the backing of the Asantehene and the Board of Directors currently directing the affairs of the club to make the proposed international friendlies come to fruition.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu, who is the Life Patron of Kotoko, thanked Dr Boateng for the donation and promised to facilitate a meeting between him and the board as to how to get Kotoko to play the friendly matches in the US.
