273 million realised from Ghana/Somalia match

Accra, Nov 20, GNA - The National Sports Council (NSC) has stated that 273 million cedis was realised from the first leg World Cup qualifying match between Ghana and Somalia at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

A statement signed by Mr Fred Moreux on behalf of the Acting Chief Executive, explained however that 180 million cedis of the amount has been lodged into the national team's account for the welfare of various national teams.

In the said match the Black Stars walloped Ocean Stars of Somalia 5-0 and defeated by 2-0 in the return leg at the Kumasi Sports Stadium last Wednesday.
