Inter Allies trainer Jimmy Corbblah has descended heavily on Ghanaian referees handling the Ghana Premier League this season insisting they are using their discretion to handle the game wrongly.

The former Wa All Stars gaffer demonstrated his disappointment in FIFA referee William Agbovi following his decision to disallow a goal he awarded after confrontations with the assistant referee one Eric Nantiere.

Inter Allies forward Halik Hudu hit the back of the net with fifteen minutes to end the game in Tema on Wednesday against Dwarfs.

Referee William Agbovi whistled for a goal but the assistant referee insisted it wasn’t.

The referee quickly changed his decision disallowing the goal but protests from players and officials of the home side compelled him to allow the goal to stand.

And the Inter Allies coach expressed his disappointment in him.

“These days I don’t know what’s wrong with our referees because I think they have been using their discretion so selfishly. What happened in Bechem on Saturday was an eyesore,” he said during the post match

“For me I don’t know why they are behaving like that, but I was very disappointed and surprised at referee Agbovi for allowing the break that happened after we equalize.”

“As for the assistant line one (Eric Nantiere), I don’t know what he was saying, how can you say a ball boy threw the ball into the net? This is unbelievable,” he added.
