Ghana winger Frank Acheampong scored in Anderlecht’s come-from-behind 2-1 win at Mouscron-Peruwelz in their league opener but had to be stretchered off injured.

Anderlecht went down on 26 minutes through Filip Markovic but Acheampong equalized for the away side in the 62nd minute.

Three minutes later Idrissa Sylla scored what turned out to be the winning goal.

But Acheampong had to be substituted in the 83rd minute when he suffered cramps and was stretchered off by the bearers.

France-born Ghanaian Dennis Appiah played the entire duration but youngster Emmanuel Adjei Sowah who featured prominently in pre season did not make the squad.
