Egypt will be the toughest opponent - Nyantakyi

Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has admitted a stiff challenge from Egypt in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana will be facing Egypt for the second time in a World Cup qualifier after the two sides were drawn in Group E together with Congo and Uganda.

The Black Stars defeated Egypt to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Nyantakyi believes the North African side will be Ghana’s toughest opponent in the Group.

“It's a tough group for us surely. Uganda is a good team, Congo is good too, but Egypt are our toughest opponent,” he said.

“Beating them in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifications doesn't give us any psychological advantage. On the contrary, it's a disadvantage.

“They will come to payback, and we have to be aware. I watched some games for Egypt and they have a new and very good team. We will play each game to win and I'm sure we will qualify to Russia 2018.

Ghana will play Egypt in Cairo on November 15.
