Coach Eshun fired.

Tamale( Northern Region) 26 Nov. '98 The management of Real Tamale United (RTU) has dismissed the club's head coach, John Eshun for non-performance.

A source close to the management accused coach Eshun of insolence which has gone down the playing body.

Coach Eshun is alleged to have refused to sign the contract document with the club since he took up the appointment last year although he has enjoyed all financial benefits.

His attitude is suspicion and "we do not want to be taken by surprise," said the source

Coach Eshun was signed on after the club emerged as runners- up in the 1997 premier league but just managed to escape relegation by a point in the 1998 league season.

Out of 26 matches played in the league season, RTU won nine, lost 12 and drew five, gaining 32 points.

RTU was eliminated in the first round of this year's CAF cup championship.

Coach Eshun could not immediately be contacted for comment as he is out of town.
