Rashid Sumaila inspires Al Qadsia to 2-0 win over Khaitan FC

Al Qadsia darling boy Rashid Sumaila inspired his side to a 2-0 win over Khaitan FC as they moved closer to the Kuwaiti League title with two matches to end the season.

Khalid Khatani opened the scoring in the first half with an intelligent volley to put the visitors forward while Guinean international Seydoba Soumah added the second in the second half to cement victory for the league leaders.

Sumaila, 23, was once again the toast of the fans and his colleague as he made breathtaking and intelligent tackles to stop the home side from finding the back of the net.

He forced an applause from his coach when he cleared a ball on the goal line after his goalkeeper was beaten by a Khaitan striker.

Sumaila was voted the player of the month for Al Qadsia in March after fetching three goals in four matches for his side.
