Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach, David Duncan has quickly refute claims of his side are a finished team and will begin the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) as favourites after been the in-form team in the off-season.

The record GPL champions have lost no game in the off-season and with the division team for pre season assignments showing no signs of depletion has seen the 2013 league champions regain their favourite tag going into the new season after finishing the 2014/15 season in second place.

Coach david Duncan who joined Kotoko in the middle of last season will begin a full season for the first time with the porcupine warriors since he replaced two-times premier league coach of the season, Didi Dramani.

The former Ashgold head coach has been able to assemble a team of competent players as pre-season preparations saw him divide his team into two with one part travelling to play in international matches in Libya whilst the remaining half competed in the GHALCA G6.

The success in winning the G6 trophy by the team left behind led by assistant coach, Michael Osei is what has got football pundits, fans and bookmakers alike to tip the reds to reclaim the premier league crown but coach David Duncan has refused to accept the favourite as he thinks the other remaining 15-teams will be ready to do battle when the league commences.

“I don’t buy that. All the teams have an equal measure of quality players. Ours isn’t a finished product yet.”
“We only have to work hard and forget about the hype,” he told the club’s website.

Kotoko played their last game of the off-season defeating league one side, Vision FC 1-0 at the Tema astro-turf stadium.
