WAFA to defend trophy in Abidjan

WAFA U17 will begin their title defence of the Tournoi international du district d’Abidjan on Tuesday.

The Academy Boys are in Group A alongside Volcan Junior (Ivory Coast), Lakika FC (Mali) and Academie Royale (Morocco).

Group B comprises Fondation Bata (Equatorial Guinea), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Royal FC (Burkina Faso) and Red Bull Salzburg (Austria).

WAFA won the tournament in 2013 but could not defend it the following year because of the outbreak of the Ebola virus.
