Dreams FC is not threatened - Kurt Okraku

Dreams FC insist their Ghana Premier League promotion is not under threat despite a Player Status Committee ruling on the registration of Daniel Gozar.

Division One League side Amidaus Professionals filed a complaint against Dreams FC over the player and the committee ruled that there was enough evidence that Daniel Gozar is the same as Cudjoe Mensah whose eligibility was contested by Tema Youth.

The Player Status Committee has since referred the case to the GFA Ethics Committee to investigate the registration of the player.

There are fears this could impact in the long-standing dispute between Tema Youth and Dreams FC.

But Executive Chairman of Dreams FC Kurt Okraku is adamant his side did the right thing and claims their hands are clean.

“There is no case, the case is over for me I am a football man and the case came to a dead end after the reviews committee’s ruling. Amidaus issue is totally different from what Tema Youth filed and this distinction must be very clear,” he told Joy Sports

“Dreams FC played in a 30-week league competition and led the table for 29 weeks, we are the undisputed champion of the zone."

"The strongest and best club of the zone and we are happy that we are in the Premier League and we are going to be very competitive."

Dreams FC recently signed a one-year sponsorship deal with micro finance company EMWL.
