Ghana remained the 27th best national team in the world for the month of September, FIFA announced on Thursday.

The Black Stars could not improve the 827 points accumulated in the previous month after FIFA took into account a total of 15 new international ‘A’ matches- all of them friendly matches in the CONCACAF (1 match), Asia (10), Africa (2) or Oceania (2) zones.

But it is unknown if Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Congo in Brazzaville was factored into the calculation.

Ghana also remained third in Africa behind Algeria and Ivory Coast.

There were no changes at the top of the September edition of the ranking, with Argentina continuing to lead the way ahead of Belgium (2nd, unchanged) and Germany (3rd, unchanged).
