Mayday golf at Achimota

About 100 golfers would assemble at the Achimota Golf Course in Acra on Thursday, May 1, to vie for the May Day Price championship trophy.

Mr Samuel Adetola, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club, who announced this in Accra on Thursday, said the competition, which forms part of activities marking the celebration of this year's May Day, is also in memory of Mr Michael Price, a senior member of the Achimota Golf Club who died some 10 years ago.

The competition, being sponsored by Mrs Clara Price, wife of the late Mr Price, the competition is open to golfers from Tema, Achimota, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs.

The President of the Achimota Golf Club, Dr Sydney Quartey will tees off at 0700 hours.
