Jonathan’s Evian beat Ayew’s Lorient

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has hailed the ‘great’ win of Evian TG over Lorient which sees the side move out of the relegation zone in Ligue 1.

The Roses registered a vital 1-0 win at home to Lorient in the Ligue 1 midweek clash.

Clarck N’Sikulu’s 25th minute strike eventually proved too strong to hand Pascal Dupraz another vital win the French top flight.

The result sees Evian storm out of the relegation zone to 16th.

They however remain in danger as the club is now just three points above the drop zone.

Jonathan Mensah who watched the entire game from the bench hailed his teammates for delivering the vital win to help the side climb the Ligue 1 table.

“Great win and continue climbing positions…highly motivated for what is coming,” the towering Ghana defender Tweeted.

Evian are hoping to repeat last season’s heroics where they emerged successful in their battle against relegation.
