‘We can win the League if management will permit us’

Nasiru Lamin, captain of New Edubiase United FC, says winning the 2014/15 league trophy would not be a huge task for the team to accomplish if only the management of the team want the trophy.

“Winning the league trophy is something we the players will always want but we only need the management to show us that they want the trophy and we shall get it for them,” Nasiru Lamin said in an exclusive interview.

The captain of the Bekwai based side had earlier hinted that the playing body is poised for the league challenge, but has now revealed that they can only win the trophy if the management wants them to.

“Winning the Ghana Premier League does not seem too difficult, but we can only do so if our management wants us to. They are the pay masters and they determine when to win what. So if they think we must win the league, we will win it for them and the fans,” Lamin added.

New Edubiase United was 10th in the league last season and they hope to improve upon that feat in the 2014/15 league expected to kick off on January 18.
