We need more land – Achimota Golf Club Prez

President of the Achimota Golf Club, Atta Nyamekye has revealed that his outfit is holding talks with the Achimota School to secure more lands to establish a country club with a hospitality facility.

The newly refurbished 18-hole course, which was rehabilitated to a PGA standard turf by Tullow Oil with the expertise of course designer Paul McGinley, was unveiled on Wednesday.

Following the upgrade of the Achimota Golf Club, Atta Nyamekye says management is working on rolling out the expansion of the facility.

“Right now we are in serious talks with the Achimota school to acquire a bit more land and also to turn this whole Club into a Country Club, these are our medium term plans and then maybe even a hospitality facility somewhere so that this place will be run as a business”, Mr. Atta Nyamekye said
