Michel Pont faces Ghana FA interview panel today

Swiss coach Michel Pont will face the Ghana Football Association interview panel today (Friday) for the vacant Black Stars job.

The former Switzerland assistant coach will be the only person to be interviewed, and he must convince the panel of his credentials.

Pont has worked as an assistant coach of Swiss top-flight FC Servette and was in-charge of FC Lugano.

“We will be looking at his philosophy, and he needs to convince us that he can do the job,” chairman of the search committee Fred Crentsil told Joy FM.

“We will also want to find out from him whether he will be in the position to stay in Ghana.

“So we will be looking at someone who will be in Ghana most of the time.”

Former Chelsea boss Avram Grant and Juan Ignacio Jimenez will be interviewed on Saturday.
