Ahmed Toure vows to hit the ground

Asante Kotoko’s latest recruit Ahmed Toure has declared he is well motivated to finally live up to his potential at the club having failed to impress in his last stint.

The Ivorian has been the high profile signing of the current transfer window and has brought about renewed excitement and expectation within the Kotoko ranks.

Toure first joined Kotoko in 2009 but failed to tie down a regular position and his off the field issues meant he had had to look elsewhere.

Having penned a new three-year deal worth GHc 80,000 including a brand new four wheel car, Toure says he is ready to let his football do the talking now.

“I really have to do well this time around,” Toure said.

“I want to be able to give back all the trust the coach and management have in me.

“I am working extremely hard to ensure that this time things come out well.”
