Sassuolo back for Ghana’s Cofie

Ghanaian midfield enforcer Isaac Cofie is on the wanted list of his former club Sassuolo as they seek to build a winsome team for next season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Cofie could return to Sassuolo this summer with coach Eusebio de Francesco expressing a keen interest to have him in his setup for next season’s campaign.

Cofie featured 31 times for Neroverdi then in Serie B during the 2011-12 season. The 22-year-old holding midfielder, who plies his trade with Genoa featured 17 times last season scoring a goal.

Frankfurt, Chievo Verona and Torino have all made inquiries about his availability but it seems a move to Sassuolo will attract him with Yussif Chibsah Raman also in the midfield of the Modena club.

Cofie who has played for Piacenza, Torino and Chievo Verona could be sold around two million Euros this summer.
