Kofi Adu keen to exploit Juventus’ loss

Ghanaian midfielder Enock Kofi Adu is relishing a big upset at the Juventus Stadium in Turin when his club, Nordsjaelland face the Italian champions Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions’ League Match Day 4. Adu is confident is his can take advantage of Juventus’ 3-1 home defeat to Serie A rivals Inter on Saturday that ended their 49-match unbeaten domestic record, to spring a surprise against the former European champions.

Juventus are also unbeaten in the Champions’ League even though they are also winless in 3 games. Adu has been ever present for Nordsjaelland in their debut campaign in world football’s grandest club competition and was key as they claimed their first point against Juventus in Denmark two weeks ago.

It was not a happy point to take though because Nordsjaelland led for so long until they let in the equalizer late. The 22 year old is buoyed however by the experiences garnered so far playing against the likes of Shaktar Donestk, Chelsea and Juve so much he is fired up to do battle in Turin where he will come up once again against countryman Kwadwo Asamoah.

“We are ready to take our chance and I think this is the best time since they just lost for the first time in more than a year,” said Adu who once again marshaled the midfield for 90 minutes on Saturday as Nordsjaelland won 2-1 at Sonderjyske.
