Muntari desperate to return

Sulley Muntari says he can’t wait to get back to full fitness so he can aid his struggling Milan side.

The midfielder damaged knee ligaments in June while having a kick-around with friends in Ghana and surgery was necessary.

“I’m working hard to return as soon as possible,” the former Inter player told Milan Channel on Wednesday. “I can’t wait to return. I want to give my contribution to the team.”

The Diavolo have had a problematic start to the season given that they have lost four of their first seven League games.

“I have faith in my teammates,” he added. “I’m certain that we’ll be able to do well again in the very near future.

“We’ll get to where we want to. Milan are a great side that has to aim for the highest objectives. The current League table lies.”

The Diavolo are in 11th place.

Muntari is looking to return to action before the end of the year.
