Osei Pele delighted with RTU move

Striker Edwin Osei Pele is
steadily counting his blessings after putting pen to paper for new Glo Ghana
Premier League returnees RTU. Osei Pele ended his bitter-sweet stint with the
Phobians last month when both parties agreed terminate the contract between
them, giving the goal poacher the green light to make a choice among a host of
clubs who sought his signature including the rich Ashantigold and Aduana Stars
where he impressed whilst on loan for the second half of last season.
“I’m very happy about the
move, it’s a very suitable place for me. It will give me more exposure, more
playing time and that’s just what I need. I will try my best to score lots of
goals and even compete for the goalking award. I am working very hard to
achieve that because its my aim and my wish,” Osei Pele said after opting for
the Tamale based club.
Osei Pele who rose to
prominence some few years after mostly his goals powered Hearts of Oak to the
pre-season Top 4 tournament success which culminated in his playing for the
national U-23 and CHAN teams, is dreaming big again after ending his Hearts of
Oak misery. The former Kessben FC striker tells 90 MINUTES he hopes rediscover
his old form and a return to national team duties.  “Definitely I am a Ghanaian and I wish to
serve my country and I know I’m good even if I’m playing in the local league so
I look forward to playing for the Black Stars. I remember those days I played
for the CHAN team and I scored the goal through which we beat Benin and I am
looking forward to play again. My aim is to train very hard and score goals to
make it difficult for the Black Stars coach to ignore me. I am back for good,”
he told us.
