London 2012: Simpson withdraws due to injury

Hepthatlete queen Margaret Simpson has pulled out of the Olympic games after she was diagnosed of an Acute Kidney Infection on Thursday according to Coach Dr. Andrew Owusu.
The 29-year-old is one of the three track and field Athletes at the Games who was expected to compete in four events including the 100m hurdles and the high jump today.
Ghana’s medical team examined her on Thursday evening and confirmed that she was not capable of participating in the games.
This is another blow to team Ghana after boxer Maxwell Amponsah withdrew from the games last week on medical grounds.
Simpson has been on Antibiotics ever since she complained of the injury three weeks ago in Plymouth, London.
Meanwhile, Long Jumper Ignatius Gaisah will also start his competition today.
