Abu ends Stromsgodset loan spell

Mohammed Abu has ended his loan spell at Stromsgodset Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu has returned home after completing a short-term spell at Norwegian side Stromsgodset.

The 20-year-old joined the Drammen-based side for a second loan spell in February this year after a move to Eintracht Frankfurt fell through.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate signed for Manchester City in August 2010 but was quickly loaned out to Norway.

Abu is expected to revert to his parent club City where a decision will be taken on his future.

He has been linked with top-tier European side including promoted Bundesliga side Frankfurt and Belgian side Anderlecht.

Abu's contract with the Eastlands outfit will expire in June 2014.
