Don't Blame Atsu -MUntari

Sulley Muntari has absorbed international team mate Christian Atsu of any blame for the serious injury he sustained two weeks ago in Accra.

The AC Milan midfielder went for a challenge on the FC Porto whiz kid and got injured in the process-which has sidelined him close to six months.

Muntari was playing with other foreign-based professionals at the Bawleshie Park when the incident happened.

Atsu has been criticized for his excessive showboating and talks on the street have fingered the 20-year-old.

“I was in a regular football field and there wasn’t any tackle or anything. My leg simply turned in an unnatural way while I was kicking,” Muntari explained his injury

“I certainly would not injure myself on purpose. I was the first to be disappointed.

“I played about 20 minutes and then the trouble happened.”

Muntari could spend close to six months on the sidelines.
