Essien, Appiah, Muntari & Ayews To launch peace Match

Ghanaian star players Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari and the Ayew brothers will launch the "One Ghana, Goals for Peace" match today Wednesday 20th June, 2012.

The media launch will be held at Lizzy’s Sports Complex at 11.00 am.

The campaign, organized by the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana and the National Commission for Civic Education, will see a series of football matches to promote peace during and after this election year.

The first match will be played on July 2nd in Tamale between two select sides – Sulley Muntari 11 vs Stephen Appiah 11 - with many of the current and retired footballers playing.

The likes of Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Kwame Ayew, Samuel Kuffour, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, John Boye, Mohamed Gargo, Eric Addo,Uriah Asante,Ben Acheampong,Rashid Sumaila and many others will lace their boots for what will be a memorable match.
