Foreign players have shown respect- Akenteng

Technical Director of the Ghana football Association (GFA) Francis Oti Akenteng says earlier fears concerning the discipline of foreign players towards new Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah have been quashed.
Oti Akenteng says every single foreign player who was invited for the double header against Lesotho and Zambia has so far conducted themselves very properly.
Prior to the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as the substantive coach of the Black Stars earlier this year, many questioned if he (Kwesi Appiah) had the charisma and persona to manage the egos of the “big boys” in the team. But Oti Aketeng says Kwesi Appiah has demonstrated since his appointment that he is the man in charge and would not tolerate any indiscipline.
“You have been to all the training sessions; can you say that any of the foreign based players has been disrespectful? Look at the urgency with which they reported to camp before the Lesotho game; and their professionalism means they are prepared to work with any coach in charge irrespective of the color of the skin,” Oti Akenteng told Finder Sports.
Kwesi Appiah led the Black Stars to a 7-0 victory against Lesotho in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers last Friday and is expected to mastermind the downfall of African champions Zambia in another qualifier in Lusaka on June 9.
