It's Ashie vrs Bilal for Commonwealth title Saturday night

The tennis courts of the Accra Sports Stadium is the stage for destination of the vacant Commonwealth Lightweight belt to be decided on Saturday night when highly rated George Ashie faces compatriot Bilal Mohammed in an expected tough yet exciting clash for fight fans.

Ashie, a former (Universal Boxing Council) UBC Junior Lightweight champion, has been primed for the world stage and see this as the first step in his march to world championship glory but faces an experienced challenge in Bilal Mohammed.

Their fight is the headliner of the bill put up by Classic Vision Promotions dubbed ‘Journey to the world.’ Also featuring are Ben Ankrah against Kofi Manu for the national Welterweight belt, Issac Nettey versus George Krampah for national Bantamweight title and Ishmael Tetteh versus Gabriel Adoko for the national Super Welterweight championship.

Completing the fight fixtures for the bill which has ringside going at GH₵10 and popular stand for GH₵5, are the national Super Featherweight clash between Michael Ansah and Albert Yeboah as well as Philip Kotey against Baba Clay in a Super Welterweight contest.
